Side Story III: A happy accident?

Third Person's POV

The day had just started, it was a bit cold but that was expected considering the time. Most people would be still sleeping, however that wasn't the case for a certain woman. She had just woken up feeling nauseous, immediately she went to the toilet to throw up. After she was done she couldn't help but think of how it was the third time in a row that it had happened.

She had an idea of what it could be but she didn't want it to be true, nevertheless a part of her wished that it was. She wasn't sure what to do, the topic wasn't something she could talk about with anyone, thus she was on her own. She couldn't even ask her husband, their relationship wasn't good, they only tried to get along because of Tsubasa.

The circumstances behind their marriage were quite complicated, they had married just after finishing high school. They didn't do it out of love but because she had found out that she was pregnant. In a way she had forced him to take responsibility but she didn't regret it one bit, she had her daughter and that made it definitely worth it.

She always had love kids, when she was young she dreamed of having a big family of three kids, unfortunately her dreams got crushed when she was fourteen. She still remembered it, it was a day she'll never forget. She had an accident, one day out of nowhere she fainted while she was walking up stairs.

She didn't remember what happened, only that she woke up with a broken arm in a hospital bed after being unconscious for about two days. To find why she fainted the doctors ran several tests, unfortunately they couldn't find an answer instead they only got bad news for her.

When she was told the news she cried, not even the pain caused by her broken arm made her cry that much. Fortunately a miracle happened, somehow she ended up pregnant though it was while she was still a student.

She faced a lot of problems thanks to it, fortunately she managed to overcome them. She even was able to finish a career while raising her child though that was thanks to the help from her parents.

Despite that she decided to become a housewife and raise her daughter, after all she was the main motivation in her life. As time went she noticed that she wanted to have more kids, unfortunately all her attempts were met with failure and eventually she gave up.

As she was reminiscing about the past she decided to face her fears, thus she went to her nightstand to take the pregnancy test she had bought the other day. With a determined face she took it and went to the bathroom.

Nanase Tsubasa's mother's POV

I had just used the pregnancy test, it was my first time using one. Last time I got the news from the doctor when I thought I was just sick. I had followed the instructions to the letter, I only needed to wait for the result. If a color band appears in the control line region means is positive, I could only hope that it's negative. I closed my eyes and waited until I felt ready.

I wasn't sure how long I had waited but it felt like hours. I was about to open my eyes when I felt doubts cloud my mind. What would I do if it's positive? Should I have the baby? What would I tell Tsubasa? What about my parents? What about my husband? We were already on thin ice, would he finally leave me?

If he does what would I do about the money? Having a kid was expensive. I didn't believe that I could work and raise a baby at the same time by myself. I couldn't help but sigh, my life is going to be a mess if this test is positive.

I opened my eyes, and what greeted my sight was nothing but a positive pregnancy test. I wanted to scream but that would achieve anything, I should be happy I always wanted a second child but not like this. At that moment I couldn't help but think about how I ended up in this situation in the first place.
