"Ah, ow. Be gentle." Yelena winced, a small scowl on her face while Hunter checked over her head wound from their escape from Kamino, the man had gone and passed off rations to Tech and Echo before noticing Yelena rechecking her wound and decided to help her. Hunter's lips twitched in amusement and continued his observation of the head wound, meanwhile, Yelena still sat there with her scowl still on her face. Omega glanced at them from where she sat on the ground, leaning against the gonk, the little girl moving around to get comfortable. The conversation between Yelena and Hunter had changed some things, but the two still didn't know each other fully. There was a lot about each other they didn't know, especially a lot about Yelena he didn't know. Echo knew, but Echo would never say. Echo...thinking back to when they were on Skako Minor, Tech had told him Echo had muttered about a "she" when he first woke up. It must have been Yelena and Rex must've known that...they'd known each other for so long and he knew everything about Yelena or at least almost everything. "Hey, hey, where's your head, cyar'ika?" Her gentle voice broke Hunter out of his thoughts and he cleared his throat, bringing his attention back to Yelena. "You good?" She asked with a raised eyebrow, Hunter nodding.
"Yeah, yeah. I'm good." Hunter assured her, taking a deep breath and changing the subject. "Now stay still, I need to change this bandage. You haven't had a fresh one since before we found Cut and Suu." He ordered her, Yelena rolling her eyes at the former sergeant's order.
"I outrank you, you can't tell me what to do." Yelena retorted, her eyes narrowing at him and Hunter chuckled.
"It's my ship, general, my rules." Hunter tells her and Yelena letting out a small chuckle, scrunching up her nose which made Hunter smile again. There she was doing it again and he didn't know why she did it. "What does cyar'ika mean?" He raised a curious eyebrow and Yelena paused, pursing her lip and shrugging.
"For me to know and for you to not." She merely replied and Hunter shook his head bemused, getting back to work on her head wound. "Ow! I said be gentle, Hunter. This is why you're not a healer like me." Yelena exclaimed in slight pain, but Hunter ignored her and finished rebandaging the wound.
"Are you done being a child?" Hunter asked her rhetorically.
"Nah, not yet." Yelena stated sarcastically, she went silent for a moment and pursed her lips before relenting. "Cyar'ikais a Mando'a word, I'm surprised you don't recognize it." She tells him and Hunter pauses before shrugging.
"I know Mando'a, we all do, but there are words I don't remember just because I don't use them frequently," Hunter explains and Yelena hums, nodding understandingly. The two were silent for a moment before Hunter decided to move on. "Your wound is healing fine, and you're all patched up." He informs her and Yelena grins.
"Thank you, Doctor Hunter." She quips and the man rolls his eyes with amusement. Yelena stands from her seat, coming face to face with Hunter. The man tenses at their closeness before she brushes past him with a smirk on her face. Yelena starts making her way up to the cockpit to talk with Echo, but she stops and looks back when she sees Hunter step up to Omega, with the rations in hand, the girl who was still sitting on the ground and had watched her two guardians' interaction with amusement.
"Well, that doesn't look comfortable, for either of you." Hunter commented, observing the girl who was still leaning against the gonk.
"We're fine." Omega smiled and told him. Yelena smiles when Hunter lets out a small chuckle before she turns and heads into the cockpit, Hunter glancing back where he saw her standing before he looks back to Omega.
Yelena enters the cockpit, looking to her left to see Echo by the wall and Tech in the pilot's seat messing with something, she couldn't tell yet what he was working on. "You and Hunter, huh? Talking alone a lot?" Echo asked with a raised eyebrow when Yelena entered the cockpit, the man obviously teasing his old friend.
