"So, you're giving her a comm device like we asked?" Yelena asked Tech while she leaned against the wall next to Hunter who typed away at the controls in a chair nearby by, her arms crossed as she watched Tech fitting the comm device onto Omega's wrist. It had been a little while since the whole incident with the bounty hunter, Yelena had pulled some jedi healing tricks she wouldn't divulge to anyone about and her knee sprain was much better. Her cut and bruises were as well, the bruises reaching a blueish stage in coloration. Other than that, the jedi was fine, as was Omega. However, she, Hunter, and Echo discussed it being a good idea to give Omega a comm device to stay in contact and Tech offered the solution in the form of Crosshair's old comm, Echo had told her it was his. Yelena didn't know why she hadn't thought of it until now but even as a padawan herself...Kad'vee didn't always supply her with a comm device. She wanted Yelena to learn without the constant saving of her master, but she couldn't really apply that to Omega's situation in full. Tech glanced at the jedi and gave a small nod to answer her question, Yelena humming and nodding. "Good, she needs it. We need to make sure we have every ability on hand to contact her if she gets separated from us." She commented offhandedly.
"That's the idea and what you asked for." Tech nodded his head before he finished fitting the comm device to Omega's wrist. "It's not an exact fit." He hummed and Omega stared at the comm device on her wrist in awe.
"I get my own comm device?" She gasped in excitement and Yelena chuckled.
"Technically, it was Crosshair's, but he doesn't appear to need it," Tech replied, Yelena noting the feeling she sensed from Tech. All of the brothers felt some form of guilt or other emotion regarding Crosshair. It wasn't hard to miss for Yelena, she'd already talked to Hunter about it on that moon.
"Echo, what's your position? Over." Omega lifted her wrist and pressed the button, her voice echoing through Echo's comm.
"It's not a toy, Omega." Echo cleared his throat and chastised the girl.
"Okay, then go back and tell that to my padawan self." Yelena couldn't help but snort, Tech glancing at her with a curious look. Yelena seemed like she'd be a...bit of a troublemaker as a padawan if the woman they knew today was any consolation.
"Copy that." Omega cheekily replied and that made Yelena smirk proudly.
"That's my girl." Yelena patted her shoulder and Omega beamed.
"I get the idea you were a bit of trouble as a padawan?" Tech hummed offhandedly, looking at her.
"Yep." Yelena popped the 'p' while Echo said. "Yes, she was." oh, he heard enough of her padawan days from General Kenobi, Skywalker, and Master Kad'vee. She was...a disaster. This time Hunter couldn't help but listen in and glanced back at the woman with a raised eyebrow.
"General Skywalker said she was uh...quite the thing as a teenager and even when she was twenty before I met her," Echo spoke up and that piqued Omega's curiosity, but Yelena was just smirking with amusement.
"Do I want to know what you got into?" Hunter sighed, turning his head to her and Yelena looked at him.
"Maybe, but some of it might make you blush." Yelena quipped, Echo coughing to cover a laugh when Hunter's eyebrows raised in surprise. The woman just shooting him a wink and Hunter turned away, shaking his head and muttering to himself.
"You're too good at that," Echo muttered to her and Yelena chuckled quietly.
"That's what happens when Master Kad'vee is your master." Yelena shrugged nonchalantly, Omega giggling even though she didn't understand the context behind some of the words the adults spoke.
"Why are we going to Ord Mantell?" the young girl suddenly asked, Yelena and Echo exchanging a look at that. The group had agreed to go to Ord Mantell, to look into who the bounty hunter was that chased after them, get some information. However, a jedi contact Yelena knew named Cid was based there and if Cid was still there, Cid could give them some information on the bounty hunter they met back on Pantora. "I thought the plan was to lay low." She frowned confused.
