"We got it! Everything went perfect!" Omega cheered, the young blonde clone holding up tablet artifact in her hands with a wide smile from where they stood outside the Marauder. The boys turned to face the girl, Jaina, and Yelena only for their eyes to widen. They were...covered head to toe in what looked like guts. Yelena did not look happy at all, Jaina was disgusted and holding her helmet at her side, and Omega had a big wide perky smile on her face. Vodran might've been a forest and swamp planet but it was a forest and swamp planet with an abundance dianoga (which Yelena had experience in killing on Bracca). Their job was simple, recover two ancient tablets of togruta culture that were dumped here in a panic by smugglers.
An elder of one of the clans had hired Cid who got them, she recommended splitting up to make it go faster and that's what they did. Originally it was cased to be Hunter, Tech, Jaina, and Yelena on one team and Echo, Wrecker, and Omega on the other but Omega wanted to be with Jaina and Yelena. So the jedi suggested she, Jaina, and Omega go together and the boys go get their tablet (leaving BD behind at the ship to keep an eye on things and contact Jaina or someone else if things went wrong at the ship). The boy's part went off without a hitch, however, by the state of the girls...that was the opposite of them. "We got the tablet! Safe and sound from the dianoga and well...some smugglers." She shrugged with a wide grin, Hunter gaping at the condition of the two mandalorian cousins while Tech adjusted his goggles to see if he was actually seeing what he believed he was. Wrecker was absolutely wanting to hear about whatever chaotic fight obviously went down while Echo...he was grossed out. They smelled.
"What...the hell happened?" Hunter asked slowly, a baffled expression on the sergeant's face.
"We had to cut open and blow up a dianoga...guts...everywhere." Jaina stated with wide eyes of horror, remembering the fireworks of guts and flesh flying everywhere. Hitting them...the remaining smugglers...trees...water. It was disgusting. Tech and Hunter exchanged a look at her words while Echo plugged his nose and Wrecker laughed excitedly.
"Aw, man, I knew we'd miss out on the fun part! Ours was boring and easy!" Wrecker complained but was more than excited to hear more about the girl's story.
"Um, quite frankly you all smell...really bad." Echo bluntly stated, waving his hand at the imaginary particles of smell coming towards him. Yelena rolled her eyes while Jaina ignored him and Omega was practically bouncing on the balls of her feet excitedly.
"You act as if we didn't notice." Yelena dryly stated before letting out a deep sigh and tossing her lightsaber to Hunter who caught it without hesitation. "My saber managed to not get drenched in dead dianoga, I'd prefer it to stay that way by me not holding it any longer." She says and Hunter chuckles lowly but nods and puts the saber on his belt. He'd gotten used to holding onto her saber more recently in the past month or so.
"I'll make sure it stays clean, princess. Don't worry, your saber will be perfectly fine." Hunter said teasingly and Yelena rolled her eyes but smiled nonetheless.
"Thanks, flyboy." She deadpanned before glancing at Jaina with a frown. The said woman was looking inside her helmet and looking at her gauntlets with a huff. "What?"
"The inside of my fu-" Jaina started to curse but Hunter and Yelena shot her a look and nodded to Omega. However, the little girl was far too focused on the tablet, curiously trying to figure out what it said. "There's dianoga in my helmet and gauntlets." She informed them and Tech audibly snorted, Jaina rolling her eyes.
"Yes, that happens when you blow up a dianoga, they tend to get everywhere." Tech commented offhandedly, Jaina giving him a dry stare with a scoff under her breath. "You'd usually find the irony and amusement in this." He pointed out and Jaina looked at the other genius with her lips pursed.
