[A/N: so originally the previous chapter was supposed to cover that part in 1x11 and bridge into 1x12 but like 99% of it is original material, so this chapter gets us into 1x12.]

"And what exactly are you reading that's making you smirk?" the voice of Hunter asked curiously, the man gazing up at the smirking jedi who sat at the edge of the gunners mount by the ladder. Her leg hanging off the side and a small book in her hands, however, she was covering it slightly so he couldn't tell what exactly it was. Yelena, herself, had come across and definitely had not seen Hunter leave out the out art book she got him. Honestly, she'd forgotten about it since the Pantora thing was a while ago, but Hunter obviously used it so...she got curious. Especially since they were just drifting and on their way back from the Ryloth mission, she just wanted to get a peak. If she was with Obi-Wan, he'd chastise her so much for taking this book. Yelena cleared her throat and turned her attention down to the sergeant who frowned and she just smirked at him.

"A very fascinating book." Yelena hummed, turning and hopping down from the gunner's mount. The woman held the book in her hand and up, tapping the outside when Hunter's eyes widened in recognition of what she was holding. His hand shot out to grab the book but Yelena's reflexes were faster than Hunter and she quickly moved her hand away, stepping to his left.

"Yelena, that is mine! What are you doing with it?" Hunter nearly snapped, but that just made Yelena's smirk widen even more. She was just curious to see what kind of skill Hunter had in art. So...she just swooped it up when he left it out. "You can't just take and look at things when you want, that's mine. You know that." He sighed irritably and Yelena hummed.

"I got it for you though." She reminded him and Hunter had to roll his eyes.

"You stole it for me." He corrected her firmly and she shrugged, the woman replying in a casual and nonchalant tone.

"Same thing."

"No it's not, it's...entirely different." Hunter's eyebrows furrowed at her logic, he had a feeling she wasn't being serious when she said that, but her sarcasm also couldn't translate sometimes.

"Oh, don't you wanna know what I think about your artwork?" Yelena clicked her tongue, giving him a look and Hunter shook his head with a deep sigh. The woman continued flipping through the pages and a smile came upon her face. "I think they're great and I haven't even looked at them all." She complimented and his eyebrows raised, however, he tensed when he noticed her flipping closer to the page that was vividly bookmarked. "I mean this drawing of Omega and then the other one of a loth cat, nice." her smile was genuine and Hunter could tell, it was nice to hear these compliments even though he was still peeved she was looking through it in the first place. "Now I haven't checked out this bookmarked page-" She started to say when suddenly the book was snatched out of her hands, the woman's eyebrows raising in surprise. "Hey!" Yelena exclaimed, Hunter giving her a look.

"This is mine, not yours." Hunter sternly told the jedi, a pout growing on her face when she looked at him. Hunter shuffled slightly when he noticed her lip jutting out and well...he didn't know what to do. It was like that face she did to get him to do what she wanted, seriously, she was good at getting what she wanted or needed from someone. She did not learn that from the jedi order. Jaina did comment a couple of times about how good she, Yelena, and Ursa were at schmoozing people out of things when doing jobs or work. Guess it was just the Mandalorian way or...for her and Jaina the bounty hunting way.

"I see we're not sharing today, sharing is caring." Yelena quipped, Hunter seeing her trying to hold back a small smirk because she did find this all amusing.

"This isn't for sharing, trust me on that." Hunter shook his head, turning and walking towards the cabin. A small smirk appearing on Yelena's face and she chuckled.
