Yelena was eventually caught up on the mission by the time they returned to the Marauder and Hunter even caught her up on events when she was gone. However, Yelena was waiting until they got a little way in hyperspace before she was going to discuss Sveta. Of course, as usual, Tech and Jaina were the ones piloting, Yelena missed their smooth piloting. Sveta was an amazing pilot, but...Anakin taught her a lot about piloting which left a lot of crash landings. "Ugh, I need to cut my hair again." Jaina grumbled from the copilot's seat as she blew a long strand of hair out of her face, Tech glancing at her with a curious raised brow. By now she would've cut it short like she always had for ease of management, but she'd been so distracted and busy these past months she forgot. It was her grandmother, though, that always cut her hair after their mother died, it was their way of spending time together. Plus Ursa messed up one time after their mother died and Jaina had to walk away looking damaged. "My Ba'buir used to do it for me, always told me I looked like my mother. I think that's why she always did it." She chuckled, glancing at Tech for a moment who went silent before blurting out.
"I like it long."
Jaina paused at his words and Tech's eyes widened slightly when he realized what he said, the man clearing his throat awkwardly. Wrecker halted completely stunned, his eyes flickering to his brother while BD made a confused noise from where he sat on Wrecker's shoulder. "You like my hair longer?" She asked slowly, wanting to make sure she heard what she thought she heard. Tech was usually incredibly careful with his words and tended to never blurt out things without thought.
"I-I-I-I just mean it looks nice short or long, but you may wear it however you prefer." Tech stuttered and Jaina smiled slightly with surprise before looking over at him.
"Thank you." was all she said and turned back to face the window with a small smile, Tech shut his mouth surprised that she reacted so calmly and shortly.
"Of course." Tech cleared his throat again. Wrecker gaining his brother's attention and giving him a look while BD practically growled at the man which Tech ignored, he'd gotten good at ignoring him.
"What was that?" Wrecker mouthed to him and Tech quietly sighed, looking away from him to avoid his question. Yelena, however, heard the whole thing and smiled to herself when she sat down next to Hunter in one of the chairs in the main cabin, Echo standing up with his arms crossed. There was a lot she wanted to tell them about right now, especially with Sveta, though she wouldn't indulge about the comm she gave to Crosshair months ago on Kamino. That...was almost as complicated, when she was away there was one time he answered, one time. She knew he had, she heard the static from his side, but he never talked, he listened and she talked. She never gave away too much, she was more worried about someone figuring out and listening than Crosshair saying anything. He hadn't said anything clearly about them being alive or there'd be bounties and wanted posters. So, she just talked most of the time to the comm, hoping her words helped him or just talking about nothing important. Yelena stopped about two weeks ago, she felt guilty about it, but her focus had to shift to Sveta and Sveta only. Crosshair needed someone, but at that point and right now, it was hard for her to be that someone with everything going on and she felt guilty.
"What happened with Sveta?" Hunter was the one to speak up and ask, bringing her thoughts back to the topic of Sveta that she said she'd discuss with him.
"It's...complicated, most complicated it's ever been." Yelena said with a puff of air, Echo and Hunter exchanging concerned looks. This didn't sound like things were completely fine, something happened, something changed. "The force has grown exponentially in her, its beyond me, beyond what Anakin had grown to before...everything. It's grown faster in her than it did within Anakin. When I first sensed it, I thought it was just Palpatine overpowering the force, but it was her." She admitted with a breath and Hunter and Echo shared stunned looks at her admission.
