"Breathe, Yelena, breathe. It's just blood, it'll all be okay." a soft female voice comforted, it wasn't hers. No, all she had was the ringing in her ears, aches in her bones, and the feelings within her...oh how strictly she was shunned against them, but how human she truly is what they show. Sometimes Yelena felt like such a tug-a-war between being a jedi and mandalorian. With one embracing family, bonds, attachment and love, encouraging them, and the other calling for peace, clarity, charity, and compassion without attachment. Attachment...twice now she'd failed that jedi rule. She'd make a mock of it, calling it stupid, but...every time she found an attachment...it went away. People she cared about dropped from existence, dying or leaving. It was her mother first and all she could remember when she found her...was blood, so much blood. Kad'vee whispered to her to breathe, that it was okay and it was just blood, but it wasn't. It was her mother, one of the deepest bonds she would have for an eternity. The one who gave up the chance to be with her, raise her, and be her mother because she wanted her to be safe from the darkness, from Palpatine (even if they did not know it was him all those years ago). The people she cared about were dropping like flies and she was losing pieces of them, Five's dogtags were gone. Jaina had noticed them first, spinning the jedi into a panic. She'd lost Hunter and the last piece of Fives. Yelena had done everything she could to his mind, to all of their minds to protect them if something were to occur, but...would that be enough?
"I must take a look to see the conditions of your bruises." Tech's voice broke her from her thoughts, the jedi glancing back into the ship where she sat outside on a crate. They had returned to Ord Mantell and Wrecker had gone off to take Gregor to Cid and get him patched up before he left, meanwhile Tech was trying to get Jaina to let him look over her injuries before they'd aid Omega and Echo who were fixing up the ship outside. Echo's gaze had flickered to Yelena, worry had flashed through his eyes when he looked at her hand oozing with blood. But the jedi refused to let anyone touch it yet. Omega...Omega had little understanding of what was going through the jedi's mind, none of them truly would, her mind worked differently than theirs.
"I'm fine, cupcake. Just a couple of bruises." Jaina shrugged, Yelena ducking her head down and tuning out their conversation while Tech huffed at Jaina who was sitting in the pilot's seat. Her chest plate was off but she still refused let Tech look her over. She was okay. "Nothing to worry about." She assured him when Tech suddenly jabbed her stomach with his finger and the woman yelped in pain. "What the hell, Tech?!" Jaina exclaims in pain, Tech wearing an, i told you so, expression on his face.
"Just a couple of bruises?" Tech's brow raised and Jaina scowled, she was really hoping to pass herself off as fine. She'd be able to fight and help, once they figured out how to go after Hunter, perfectly fine with bruised ribs. "Let me see." his voice was stern and Jaina huffed, grumbling to herself as she pulled up her shirt to the bottom of her breastbone to show the purple bruised skin on her stomach and even trailing up to her chest (but she did not pull her shirt up that far). Tech had to hold back a small blush, he'd never seen her skin like that just like she'd never seen him like that. "Right, let me know how sore it is." He kneeled down and began pressing on her ribs, Jaina's face went red and even though he was wearing gloves she could tell his hands were cold (freezing even), why did every man she met have freezing hands? Though admittedly only to herself, his hand felt good on her bare skin even with the glove.
"Ow!" Jaina hissed when Tech pressed on her upper left rib, the woman shot him a glare but he ignored her and moved on. She let out another quiet ow when he touched her right middle rib.
"Just as we suspected, a couple of bruised ribs." He sighed, shaking his head. "I know you well enough you're good to fight but...I believe we have something from the med-pack to help with the swelling and bruising until then." Tech explained before turning and grabbing the med-pack nearby, he opened it and found some cold patches he could press onto her skin. He pulled them out and placed them on the sorest areas on her abdomen. "There, settled." He nodded, the goggled genius not even realizing his hand was still pressed on her abdomen at the bottom of her breastbone, very close to those, and Jaina's face was growing redder.
