Chapter Seven

It felt like hours before Veronica came out of the room. She was holding a clipboard and was reading it while coming towards us.

"And?" I asked impatiently.

"Well, she's okay, she will wake up soon enough. But according to her results it seems like this wasn't her first panic attack and this was due to fear. I don't know what that girl has been through in her lifetime but whatever it was. It seems to have had a huge impact on her mental and physical health." Veronica said looking at us sternly.

"Can I go see her?" I asked well more like pleaded.

"Yes, big brother you can see her." she said with a soft smile.

"Thanks baby sis" I said giving her a side hug and making my way towards her room.

I took a deep breath before opening the door slowly. She looked beautiful even in a hospital bed. I hate what she was doing to me but at the same time I loved it. I feel like I'm moving way too fast, but I can't help it. I can't seem to explain what I feel for her. Let's hope I don't get burnt like last time.

Savannah began to stir on the bed, and she opened her eyes slowly. She looked scared.

"W-where am I" she asked.

"You're at my house, don't worry you're safe here." I said trying to reassure her, but she still looked scared.

"W-what happened t-to m-me" she stuttered out.

"You had a panic attack and blacked out. I brought you here so you could get checked out." I said and I could see her relaxing slowly until her eyes widened again.

"My best friend, Natalie, I gotta call her and make sure she's okay" she began freaking out while pulling out her hair in frustration.

As if on que, there was a knocked on the door. "Come in" I said, and Ben walked in.

"Ben?" Savannah asked confused.

"Hey Anna, looks like you're awake. I brought your purse it fell down in the car." Ben said smiling and giving it to her, I can see that he really cares about Savannah.

"Thank you, Ben," she said with a small smile and she opened her purse and took out her phone. She began dialing a number which I assumed was her best friend's number.

"Oh, thank God, Nat are you okay" Savannah asked with a deep sigh.

Ben and I stepped out to give her some privacy. We went upstairs to the dining room to get some food because Ben was whining about being hungry.

***********TIME LAPSE **************

This morning took a different turn. Savannah really knows how to press my buttons. I was currently in a meeting, and I couldn't get her out of my head. I couldn't not even focus on my meeting.

"Uh sir, meeting is over." Jane said bringing me out my train of thoughts.

"Oh yeah sorry, I'll be in my office if you need me." I said packing up and heading to my office.

I arrived in my office and found the folder sent by Armani on my desk. I began reading through it. And I must say I saw quite intrigued by her success. I feel like she was made for me but that mouth of hers though. I was deep in thought I didn't even see Ben and Gio come in.

"Gosh, he's so whipped." Gio said to Ben who chuckled in response.

"I agree with you on that one Gio." Ben replied.

"Arghh will you guys just shut up." I said running my hand through my hair in frustration.

"So, what's the game plan lover boy" Gio asked pulling a chair to sit.

"Well, here's what you're gonna do Benny Boy. You're going to call Sweet Royal Bakery and order 12 cupcakes and the owner must deliver it herself." I said and they looked at my confused.

"She's the owner of the bakery dumbasses." I said face palming myself.

"Ohhhh yeah we already knew that." they both said in unison. They both went out for what reason I don't know.

Now to call my lawyer. I picked up my phone and dialled his number. He picked up in three rings.

"Hey Leo, what's up" he asked.

"Hey Luca, I need a favor." I said pinching the bridge of my nose.

"I'm all ears." he said.

"I need you to draft me a marriage contract for 6 months, but I need you to add a clause on it. I will email you the draft now." I spoke.

"Well may I ask why." he asked.

"Nessuna domanda Luca, fallo e basta. " I yelled into the phone.

"On it." he said, and I hung up.

Now that's set, I need to set up rooms for her and Sandy. But before all that I need to talk to Nora first. Gosh this is so hard.

I called Ben and asked him to go pick Nora up because school is almost out. He said that he's already headed there and that the cupcakes will be delivered by tomorrow morning. Perfect, I love it when a plan comes together.

I decided to carry on with some work before Ben came with Nora. I was so engrossed in my work I didn't hear them come in.

"Papà" I heard Nora's little voice. I smiled and opened my eyes for a hug.

"Ciao bambina, how was school" I said hugging her tightly.

"School was great, Sandy and I got paired for a project and we passed." she said excitedly.

"Wow I'm so proud of you Bambina." I said with a smile. Nora is one of the most important people in my life. I would do anything to keep her same that's why I want to make Savannah her mother.

"Bambina, can I talk to you about something." I said nervously.

"Sure" she said sitting herself on my lap.

"What do you think of Savannah" I asked "and be honest please".

"Well, I think she's one of the coolest people I've ever met. She's sweet, kind, loving and caring. She cooks the best food and makes the best cupcakes. Sandy brought me some today. She's also beautiful and gives the best hugs, well not better than you." she said smiling sincerely. I released a breath of relieve; I didn't realize I was holding.

" So, you wouldn't mind me marrying her." I asked nervously. She squealed loudly and hugged me tightly.

"Of course, not papa, if you marry her then she'll be my mommy and Sandy will be sister. Then we'll live in the same house and become a happy family." she ranted out happily. I released a sigh of relief.

"That's all I wanted to hear you say, Bambina." I smiled kissing her forehead. Now that Nora is on the same page as me, I can finally set the boat to sail.

I packed up and Nora and I left the office hand in hand. We found Ben and Gio in the reception waiting for us.

" Uncle Gio, Uncle Ben guess what" Nora squealed happily.

"What" Ben asked.

"Daddy wants to marry Savannah and make her my mommy." she said happily.

"Oh really, that sounds great. Would you like having her as your mom?" Gio asked cautiously.

"Yes, I would love to her as my mommy." she said with a happy twirl.

"If that's the case, then congratulations Bambina." Gio said with a forced smile.

We all left the office and went to McDonald's to buy food because Nora couldn't shut up about it. Soon Savannah will be mine and no one will ever take her away from me.
