Chapter Thirty-two

Veronica (Nica)

After putting away the girls to sleep which was a struggle because they want their mom. I went back downstairs and I overheard the conversation.

I knew there is only one person who will be able to track down Savannah fast and have her home in no time. I dialed his number and he picked up after three rings.

"Hey babygirl wassup" his thick Russian voice sounded on the other side of the phone.

"Hey babe, I need your help with something." I said.

"What's wrong babe. You in some kind of trouble" he said sounding worried.

"No, I am not in trouble, but Savannah is. Victor has her." I said slowly.

"WHAT! WHEN DID THIS HAPPEN?" He yelled into the phone.

"Earlier tonight, I think one to two hours ago." I said timidly.

"Okay, do not worry, I will have my guys on it as soon as possible." he said calmly. 

"Thank you, but Leo cannot know that you are helping or else he will kill us both." I said  already thinking of his reaction.

"I will make sure, your controlling brother does not know that I am helping you."  he said and I could tell he was rolling his eyes.

"Thanks babe, I love you." I said blushing, I know he can't see my face.

"I love you too babygirl and no need to thank me." he said and hung up.

I took a deep breath and prayed that  she is okay wherever she is.

Victor (Unknown)

I finally have the love of my life back. I just have to make sure that, that bastard does not find us. This place is way too easy to find, I need the one place where we are totally off-grid so that Savannah does not even try to ask for help. 

"Tristan, get the jet ready we are going to the mountains." I commanded into the walkie-talkie.

"Yes sir" Tristan answered back.

I looked down on Savannah's sleeping figure and she is still very much beautiful. If only Violet had not taken advantage of me that night, we would have been happily married with a few kids. Sandy would have been ours, maybe I should go get her too. I just the perfect time and place like I with Savannah. I am pretty sure; Leo has tightened up his security at his house and for everyone around him. I brushed out Savannah's strand of hair from her face to study her clearly, the urge to kiss her was uncontainable but I held myself. I will get a chance when she wakes up. 

I left her to rest; the drug will be wearing off soon and we need to be in the mountains by then. I went down to the basement to see an old asset; I won't be needing anymore. He was passed out on the chair my men tied him to. I grabbed a bucket of water and threw the water at him. He jolted awake and I snickered at his reaction.

"Welcome back to the land of the living. I see you're still alive." I said sarcastically.

"Fuck you" he said weakly.

"Well, that hurts, anyway you will be happy to know that I have Savannah back. She is upstairs resting and soon we will be off to a place where your precious best friend and boss won't be able to find us." I said gloating and his eyes widened.

"Don't celebrate just yet, Leo will find you no matter where you go in the world. He is well connected, and we both know he will not stop at nothing to have Savannah back." Gio said smirking and I punched him in the face.

"I wouldn't be so sure about that." I said and walked out.

He is right, Leo is well connected, and he won't stop at nothing to find Savannah, but I am always a step ahead of him. 

"Sir, the jet is ready." Tristan sounded on the walkie-talkie.

"Alright, we will be right there." I said heading up stairs to get Savannah.

She was still out cold, and I gently picked her up. I went downstairs to the limo and my men were all waiting for me. I gently laid Savannah in the car and gave them orders to release Gio, but they must first drug him and go drop him off at Leo's house. I told them that they must almost blow up the house, we do not want to leave anything behind. They all said, "yes sir" and they went about their jobs. 

I am ready to go start my forever with Savannah, away from Leo and all this crap.

Savannah

I slowly fluttered my eyes open, and I was in an unfamiliar room. What the hell happened, I thought to myself. I went to the window to check my surroundings and I was met with lots of trees and what seemed like a mountain.

"Where the hell am I" I muttered to myself.

Suddenly the door opened and in walked Madison.

"Maddie, where are we? Where is Leo and the others?" I asked in relief.

Victor followed in after I finished speaking. So, I wasn't dreaming, he actually is here and alive, but his parents said he died. I don't understand.

"Mads, what's going on" I asked confusedly.

"Well, Maddie here is my adopted sister. We adopted her when her parents died in a car accident. Because my parents were scared of what would people think when they see their racially different child, they kept her hidden from the world. Hence nobody knows her apart from family and some people who worked for my parents." Victor said with a smile.

That's how he always found me, because Maddie kept telling him where I was. I should've known better not to trust anyone else after what happened with Violet.

"Wow un-fucking-believable, I can't believe you would do this to me Mads." I said with tears of anger coming down my face.

"Actually, the name is Elaine Cartier not Madison Stevenson" she said with a smirk.

I sat down on the bed in a full-blown cry, I wasn't crying because I am sad. I am crying because I was angry, angry at myself for being so stupid. How could I have been so naive, so fucking trusting. My father always warned me about being too trusting and I did not listen. Well look how that worked out for me. I'm stuck in the middle of nowhere. I miss Sandy and Nora; I wonder if I'll ever see them again.

I felt the bed dip on my side. I looked up and saw the ocean blue eyes I was once so deeply in love with. He wiped off my tears with his thumbs and I felt some goosebumps when he touched me. I was about to melt into his touch when a pair of familiar grey eyes came into mind, and I quickly came back to my senses. I moved away from Victor, and he looked disappointed, but he quickly masked it with a smirk.

"Soon I'll have you melting to my touch like you used to. I'm a very patient man Savannah, I'll get you back no matter how long it takes." He said with determination, and I know he wasn't kidding.

I have to find a way out of here as soon as possible.

"Oh, and don't think of escaping, we're miles away from civilization and there's no service here." Victor said smugly as if he could hear my thoughts.

It was at that moment I knew I was doomed. I really hope Leo is working on finding me.
