Chapter Thirty-three

It has been a rough couple of hours, I have been looking at the video footages from the hotel, but they don't show anything solid. Some clips are deleted, and it is from the time Victor took Savannah. 

"Boss, you need to come see this" Diego said out of breath. 

"What, can't it wait, I am busy" I said pinching the bridge of my nose.

"Unfortunately not sir" he said looking scared.

I sighed and got up from the chair. I followed him out to the front gate. A bunch of my men were also gathered there. When we arrived, they parted ways for me to pass through. I was shocked by what I was seeing.

"Gio, Gio wake up buddy" I said shaking him and lightly tapping his face.

He was not budging; I felt his neck and there was a pulse, but it was weak. 

"Help me take him to the infirmary." I said getting him up and Diego came to help.

We carried him inside and took him straight to the infirmary. Nica started working on him while we gave her some space to work. My dad, Bruce and Ben all came down to join me. Diego and Enzo were sitting in a far corner, they were also under stress, but they kept it masked.

I was pacing up and down the hall. Where the hell did, he even come from, where was he the whole time. I had so many questions only he had answers to.

"FUCK!!" I yelled out and punched the nearest wall. That hurt quite a lot, but I couldn't feel the pain due to the stress I was under.

"Son, you need to calm down" My dad said, and I ignored him.

"He's awake and he wants to talk to you, all of you" Nica's voice pulled me out of my thoughts.

We all went in Gio's room, and he was wide awake.

"Hey G man, where have you been" Ben asked patting him on the shoulder. 

"Well, you guys might wanna sit down for this." Gio said and we all grabbed some chairs.

Gio's flashback

Gio started narrating everything, "Well after you asked Mani to do a background on check on her, her records were too clean, and everything was in Sandy's name, so I decided to do an investigation. I found her records locked and sealed, like they were heavily encrypted. I had to do a de-encryption which took days to do because whoever locked these records seriously did not want them to be found."

"I did that to protect her from Victor and Yuri." Bruce said out of nowhere.

"Oh yeah, I forgot you guys are a family of tech-gods." Gio said rolling his eyes. 

"Anyway, back to my story, I eventually managed to get through to the records. There were pictures from her high school days with her three friends Mario, Vasily and Violet and a bunch of love letters she had written to a guy named Victor. Then there were pictures of her when Yuri had beat her up, guess she was saving them as evidence. I suddenly felt bad for going through her stuff, but I had to be sure that she was a 100% and would not do you like Nora's mother did. I realized that you and her may have similar pasts and decided to leave it at that. I left the office back to the house, because I had been at the apartment near the office. I saw a woman on a side of the road with some car trouble, I decided to be a good Samaritan and help her. Little did I know what was waiting for me, I stopped the car and got out the car.  I went over to her and asked what the problem was, and she played a good damsel in distress. I looked over at her car and it seemed fine, I looked at her and her eyes there was something very familiar about them.
