Chapter Twelve

After Savannah passed out, I took her to her house and called Nica to come examine her. She arrived in about an hour because my house is quite far from civilization. Enzo and I sat in the living room and the girls were in Sandy's room playing. Nica came down in about 20 minutes and she had a concerned look on her face. 

"Nica what's wrong." I asked her

"Well judging from my exam and the previous one, it seems like this was not the first time she has a panic attack this severe. Something must have triggered them both and I'm afraid you won't like it because it seems serious." she finished off her statement.

"Damn it, I need to dig more into her past. Something is not adding up here." I said pacing up and down. 

But first I need to go fix her and Sandy a room at my house because they are clearly not safe here. In the meantime, I will get Enzo to watch them. I went up to the Sandy's room and they were happily playing with Sandy's dolls. 

"Hey girls, can I talk to you about something?" I asked nervously although they are still young, their maturity scares me. 

"Sure." they said in unison. 

"So Savannah and I are getting married, which means that we will all have to live together in one house and basically become a family. This also means that you guys will be sisters. What do you guys think?" I said looking at the cautiously. They remained quiet and still, I waved my hand in front of their faces. They looked at each other and grinned then they squealed jumping up to hug me.

"Do we get to share a room" Nora asked with a huge grin.

"Well if you want to then yes." I said smiling.

"Yayyyyyyy" they squealed again. 

"So that means, I can also call you daddy." Sandy said with a hopeful look.

"Sure bambina why not." I said with a smile.

"Okay daddy." she said and I could not hide my smile. 

"Okay now that's settled, do you guys want to come with me." I asked them 

"Nope, I'm staying here with my mommy." Sandy said. 

"And I'm staying with Sandy." Nora said standing next to Sandy.

"Okay then, don't cause any trouble." I said sternly.

"Yes daddy." they said in unison. 

I left Sandy's room and went back downstairs. Enzo was sitting with Nica watching TV. 

"Let's go guys, Enzo you can sit outside and watch the house from your car if you want to."

"Sure thing boss." Nica and I, left Savannah's house and went back to mine. Enzo stayed behind to keep watch. 

I decided to keep busy by fixing up the rooms for Savannah and Sandy.  Since Nora and Sandy want to share a room, I picked the room next to mine and fixed up in a suitable way for two girls. The guys also helped with it which took a few hours to get everything ready for when they arrive. My phone rang in pocket and it was an unknown number, who could be calling me at this time of the day. 

"Morelli" I answered the phone. 

"Leo, there are four big guys trashing the place downstairs." I recognized the voice to be Savannah's voice. 

"WHAT, Where are you right now." I yelled into the phone. 

"Don't yell at me and we are safe in the panic room." She said gosh this woman and testing my patience.
