Y/n X Max Mayfield

Y/n POV

Ever since Billy died Max has been in a bad place, but can you blame her, she did see her own brother die right in front of her.

As I walked into the school I soon Max at her locker with her headphones on, I walked up behind her and wrapped my arms around her waist, she froze until she realized it was me a small smile graced her face as she turned around, "How are you today babe?", I asked with a smile, "a bit better I guess", she said as she shut her locker.

We began walking towards our first class together when Max stopped in front of the memorial wall the principal had installed, she stopped and looked at all the photos of Billy, "I miss him so much y/n", she said as tears filled her eyes, "I know babe, but he's gone and if I could bring him back I would, you know that." I said as I wrapped my arms around her as she cried into my shoulder.

This was when Max finally let out all of her emotions and started sobbing, I brought her into the girl bathroom and locked the door,  "Hey hey it's okay Max, you're ok", I said as I rubbed her back trying to soothe her, "He's gone, and I just miss him so much, why did he have to die?", Max sobbed as she clutched onto me, "I know you miss him, but Billy made bad choices and he was taken over by the mind flayer ok, there isn't anything you or me or anyone can do to change that,", we sat on the bathroom floor as she cried it all out, once she finally stopped crying, I got her up and took her home.

*15 minutes later*

We finally arrived at Max's house and I took her up to her room to lay her down, as silent tears fell from her bright blue eyes, I rubbed her back slowly, watching as she drifted off to sleep in my arms.
