Third Person  POV

As y/n stood at the kiosk in the family video store she listened to Robin rant about Vicki and how she had a massive crush on her, y/n stood with a fake smile plastered on her face begging for a customer to come in and end her suffering.

Just on queue, a mother with 2 kids walked in asking for assistance, "Excuse me, could you help me find The never-ending story, my kids love that movie?", y/n smiled and nodded thankfully she didn't have to listen to Robins rant anymore. y/n found The never-ending story and handed it to the lady with a smile "That will be $5.99, just make sure it is returned before the end of the month", y/n said scanning the movie and giving it back to the lady.

The family walked out of the store happily as Robin began ranting about her crush again, you mentally rolled your eyes wishing she would talk about you like that instead of Vicki which according to Robin is so amazing. Just as Robin stopped talking Vicki and her boyfriend walked in asking to rent a movie, Robin stood there as she stared at their joint hands in shock slowly backing away as they looked for movies, "Hey Robin, you ok?", y/n asked with a concerned look, "yeah I'm fine, just my crush and her boyfriend looking for a movie", she said with a sad look.

*Time Skip*

A couple weeks later you and Robin were working the kiosk again, Robin claimed she was over her crush on Vicki and was ready to move on. Y/n thought this was her shot to finally get a date with Robin, that was until Vicki walked in coming straight up to the counter smiling at Robin "Hey Robin, ummm I was wondering if you'd like to go on a date sometime because I really really like you and yeah so will you go out with me?", Robin smiled from ear to ear as she replied with an eager yes.

Robin turned to you smiling and jumping up and down,"OH MY GOODNESS I JUST GOT A DATE WITH VICKI... CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT", she screamed you smiled at her happy she finally got with the girl of her dreams even though you couldn't be with yours. In that moment you realised you could never be her, the one Robin wanted. 'I'll never be her', y/n said to herself as Robin continued squealing.
