y/n POV 

Will, Eleven, and Mike decided to go roller skating at the skating rink, I told them I would meet them there a bit later as I had something to do first. 

As I made my way into the store I grabbed a shopping basket and began to browse for the perfect gift for Will, today was March 22nd and it was Will's 16th birthday so I was going to get him something amazing for his special day. I continued to browse looking for the perfect gift until I decided to make him a little gift basket.

After buying the basket and all the things to go inside it I headed over to the Byers' house to put it all together, Jonathan let me in as I put everything down on the table, "Wills' not home is he?" I asked Jonathan as I sat down, "No, I dropped him, mike and El at the skating rink just before you arrived", he said ruffling through the bag of presents for Will. I began to stuff the basket with grey tissue paper before placing all the presents inside neatly, I got him a stuffed animal, some candy, a recorded tape full of all his favourite songs, some more paint supplies and a nice smelling cologne plus a card with a message inside. After everything was put together Jonathan and I drove to the skating rink.

 I arrived to find Will, Mike and El sitting outside waiting for us, I got outside and walked up to Will giving him a hug I pulled away with a smile 'Happy Birthday Will", I said smiling at him and he returned the smile with a thank you, he looked over at Mike and Eleven who had a look of guilt on their faces "You two forgot didn't you?", I said looking over at them they looked down apologising to Will "We're sorry Will we didn't realise", they said as Will walk off with a sad look.

*After the car ride*

We arrived back at the Byler's house as we walked in I covered Wills' eyes with my hands, "What are you doing y/n?" He said with a laugh as he walked forward with his eyes closed "you'll see Will just wait", I said with a smile as I lead him to the table and removed my hands, He looked at the gift basket on the table and a wide smiled spread across his face as he got up and gave me a hug, "Happy Birthday", I said into his shoulder as he pulled away from the hug.

Later on me and Will were sitting in his room as I watched him paint. "Did you have a good birthday?" I said as I walked up behind him and wrapped my arms around his waist, "yeah I did, thank you for my present", he said as he turned around to face me, "you're welcome, and I'm sorry Mike and El forgot", I said with a sad smile "It's ok, it wasn't your fault", he said while hugging me again. We sat in comfortable silence for a while until I stood up again, "Hey Will I have another present for you" I said as I faced him "what is it y/n" he said smiling, I slowly leaned in as our lips collided in a passionate kiss together, I pulled away with an embarrassed look on my face but before I could apologise he connected our lips again as we sat making out on his bed. We pulled away and laid back down cuddling as the sun went down.
