Thea's P.O.V.

I needed a fucking raise.

About fifteen minutes after I got off the phone with Gray, I found myself walking down the hallway of the club.

There were a few different rooms and I didn't know exactly where to start. I didn't have time to decide before a strong pair of arms wrapped around my body and mouth, silencing my scream and pulled me into a room with him.

My instincts kicked in. I kicked the mystery person in the shin, losing the grip he had on me a little and elbowed as hard as I could with the small amount of room I had to move.

He groaned, letting me go.

I spun towards the mystery man, ready to fight.

"Aaron?"

"Hello, Beautiful." He said, standing from his hunched over position.

"Are you insane? Are you trying to give me a goddamn heart attack?" I hissed.

"Me? What the hell are you doing in this part of the club?"

"It's none of your business. Now leave."

"It is my business. What if someone besides me saw you coming in here? You're going to get yourself killed, sweet cheeks."

I glared at him. "I know what I'm doing."

"I'm sure you do."

I continued watching him. I wasn't comfortable being in the back room of the club with this man.

Aaron sighed. "Adrik was arrested. Is that why you're here?" He questioned.

"Yes. Now I'm trying to find something so please go."

He reached into his suit pocket and pulled out the black book. "Is this what you're looking for?"

"Yes! Where the hell did you get that?" I asked, reaching for it.

"Tiss, tiss. Ask me nicely." He teased, gently pushing my hand away.

"Aaron?"

"Yes?"

Is this guy for real?

"Where did you get that?" I asked in a calmer voice.

"I took it from Adrik after the game. He doesn't know."

"Why did you take it?"

He shrugged his shoulders.

I don't know much about Aaron himself but I do know his thoughts about human trafficking. Was he here to stop the deal tonight too?

"Were you going to try and stop tonight's deal Adrik had planned?"

He didn't say anything.

"Aaron?"

"We need to get you out of here." He put the book back into his pocket and grabbed a hold of my hand.

"Hey."

"Come on." He opened the door and peeked outside before guiding me out the door and down the long hallway.

"Aaron!"

He continued pulling me when he suddenly came to a stop. He put his finger to his lips, shushing me.

There were faint voices and the shadows of a few different people about to round the corner when Aaron pinned me up against the wall.

"What are you doing-" Aaron's lips connected with mine.

I tried struggling against him, pushing him away but the voices got closer and I realized what Aaron was doing.
