Aaron's P.O.V.

"I'm still finding it hard to leave you." I said honestly.

Thea started smiling as she pulled me down for another passionate kiss.

We stayed in her apartment all weekend and talked, watched a few movies and made love every chance we could... but now it was Monday and she needed to go back to work and I was needed out of the country for a few weeks.

"Please be careful and if you need anything-"

"Call Beck or Zac... I know." She said, finishing my sentence. "I'm more worried about you. Miguel is still out there."

"Give me the word and I'll take care of him. I'm growing rather impatient."

"Aaron."

"Well."

She tilted her head. She didn't realize how adorable she was.

I kissed her forehead. "I'll be fine. I promise."

She nodded but didn't say anything.

With one last kiss goodbye, we walked out of her apartment. She went down the hall and I slipped out through the back.

I turned my phone on, letting it power up. I ignored all of the messages and notifications as I drove to my house. I was sure Silas was going to be annoyed with me for being gone all weekend.

Once I got home, I pulled into my driveway and noticed everyone was already here, waiting for me.

"Good morning." I said as I entered the house.

"Where in the fuck have you been?" Silas asked, sounding a little more than annoyed.

"Something came up that needed my attention, I told you that. I'm all ready to go, my bags are already packed... I just have to grab them."

"We were supposed to leave yesterday... it's not like you to push shit back."

"It will be fine." I turned towards the others, "Give me a report. What have I missed?"

"Nothing much. Miguels on the move, we've pinged him in two different states this weekend." Nico informed me.

"What the fuck is he doing?"

"This guy is smart and he knows we're following him... maybe he's leading us on a wild goose chase, maybe this is part of his plan. I don't know."

Silas butted in again, "How much longer are you going to let this go on, Aaron? If it wasn't for Thea, we would have killed this asshole by now."

"She has nothing to do with this." I lied.

Silas got in my face, "That's bullshit and you know it. Miguel's waiting for his chance, Aaron. The longer you wait, the better chance he will have of succeeding in killing you."

I pushed him back, "I said Thea has nothing to do with this."

"What about with Carlos Mendoza then? The feds told you not to be at his trial but you were and you still killed him. I bet if Thea told you not to kill him you would have let him rot in prison instead. I like Thea, I do... but you're not thinking clearly."

"I'm thinking just fine. I'm going to go get my bag."

I went into my room, grabbed my bag that I already had packed and headed back out to the kitchen.

Truth was, Silas was right. Thea was the only reason I've stepped back and let the FBI handle this situation. Any other circumstance and Miguel would have been found mysteriously dead and the problem would have been solved.
