Aaron's P.O.V.
When I told Thea I didn't have time for romance, I wasn't lying. I avoided it at all cost after my wife died. Losing someone you're in love with is hard and not something you can just get over so I never even tried looking for love again. I was perfectly content until Thea walked into my life.
Making love to her was unlike anything I've ever experienced before. Thea was different... a good different. From the moment my eyes landed on her in the bar I had a pull towards her that I couldn't explain and I knew she felt it too.
Not only was she beautiful but she was funny and smart. I loved that she talked back and stuck up for herself, even when I was mad. She told me how it was, something I wasn't used to.
I continued with my 10pm texts to her every night. I gave her space like she asked for but during this last week, our texting turned into phone calls. I would find the dumbest reasons to call her and we would end up talking for awhile before bed.
Silas interrupted my thoughts, "We need to clean this mess up."
I looked down at the three dead Cobra gang members, shaking my head.
"Boss, Becks here." One of our guys said.
I looked through the alley, confused as Beck ran over to us. "Beck? What are you doing here? You're supposed to be watching Thea."
Just then I hear that beautiful voice yell, "FREEZE!"
"Yeah, she's here." I started following Beck down the alley while he continued. "While she was working on a case, she went to a house with another detective. This guy took off and she chased him down here. I came to warn you so she didn't come across the stuff back there."
We came up to one of Derek's guys, pointing at a door, as we heard glass breaking. "She went in here. Zac followed her in."
We went into the building, stopping Zac from interfering as I watched Thea do her thing. She blocked the man's punch but when he brought his other hand back up he hit her hard in the mouth.
She grabbed the guy by the arm, brought her elbow up and hit the guy hard in the nose.
"You're under arrest. Stop fighting!" Thea groaned out of breath as the guy pushed her shoulder, knocking her to the ground.
He stalked forward, "Fuck you, bitch."
I was about to stop this when she grabbed the back of his ankles, brought her legs up, put her feet in his hips and pushed her legs forward, bringing him down to the ground. She flipped him over to his stomach, put a knee in his back and she grabbed his wrists, handcuffing him.
"No. Fuck you."
She turned towards us and rolled her eyes as I smiled back at her. She got on her phone, "Ethan, I'm in the last building on the south side. I got him."
She nodded her head, "Okay."
She put her phone in her back pocket and started lifting the guy up, "Get up."
"Walk." She demanded as she pushed the guy forward, ignoring us as she walked by.
The sound of sirens coming filled the air. "Aaron we have to get out of here." Silas said, stopping me.
"I'll stay close to her." Beck said.
"Derek and the others are leaving now, everythings been cleaned up." Tristan informed me. "There's a car out back for us."
I nodded and headed out with the others.

A few hours later I found myself outside Thea's apartment because like an idiot, I followed her home.
