Darkness surrounds me. Silence deafens me. All sense of time eludes me. I do not know where I am. Only that I am in unseen shackles. No food. No water. No clothing. I am covered only by the lack of light. I do not die, but feel the darkness absorb me. I feel myself grow weaker. Try as I might, I am unable to escape this place, even in my dreams, for I know not when I am awake or asleep. I am kept here, isolated and alone. Light and happiness has become but a faint memory, a mere inkling. In its place, dark and sadness. Worst still, I have forgotten anything of my life before this place. Questions of 'is my sister okay?' had morphed into 'do I have a family'? to now, 'what is family?'. What is happiness? What is light? Where am I? What am I?
