Prompt: I have a confession to make
(Word Count: 136 Words)As I gazed into his face, I knew that I had wronged him deeply. I swallowed and tried to speak, but my voice failed me. He seemed to notice the look on my face as he turned to me, his face kind and concerned, cupping my face in his hand as he softly asked,
"Are you okay?"
Oh how could I have ever thought him to be socruel as I once did? How could I ever have mistaken the man in front of me as abrutal one who had committed unspeakable crimes? His grasp on my arm brought meback to reality. Looking into his eyes, my heart twanged with guilt, and I mademy choice. The words tumbled from my lips like water flows down a rock,
"I have a confession to make".
