You hit his cheek, and he stumbled back a bit from the impact. Gabriel kicked you in your stomach, making you double over in pain, and then he punched you from the side into the wall. You stared at him for a moment, waiting for him to become distracted enough, and once he was, you swept at his feet so that he fell sideways into the ground. Both of you stood up, and it slowly turned into a fist fight. You eventually lost to it, getting kicked into the wall multiple times by Gabriel.

Gabriel stopped in his tracks, looking out into the alleyway to the right of you. He screamed and was shoved into the rose bush, probably getting scraped by various thorns. You looked to your right, half expecting to see Marc there, but was taken by surprise to see Esther standing there.

"I'll give you ten seconds to run, since I'm feeling generous today." She said, watching as Gabriel painfully ran off, shreds of his clothing gone. Esther looked at the state of you, suddenly worried. You probably had multiple cuts and bruises since you got beaten up fairly bad. Esther carefully helped you up, and you could tell by even just her movements that she was very concerned about you, hurt or not.

"We're going to your apartment. Do you have the stuff for cleaning up?"

"Mhm," You hummed, and she helped you walk back.

- Small Time skip -

Once you both had made it to the apartment building, you immediately saw Khonshu waiting at the bottom of the staircase, and you already regretted getting in that fight. You also expected that Steven was waiting on you, sitting on the edge of your bed as you walked in with Esther.

"Oh, bollocks, what happened?" Steven said, noticing the state you were in. Esther sat you down on the couch, heading to your bathroom for what you expected would be the things you needed to help your bruises and such.

"Someone decided it'd be a good idea to get in a fight with someone else at our school." Esther replied, heading out of the bathroom with the first aid kit. Marc glared at you through the reflection of the mirror on the wall.

"It isn't my fault, he's a bitch..." you mumbled. Esther sat next to you and opened the kit.

"That's no excuse to get in fights, that could ruin your reputation." Steven reminded you, sitting on the arm of the couch. Esther gently cleaned up the blood on your face, later putting a large white bandaid on the collection of small cuts on your cheek. She pulled out an ice pack, handing it to you and you set it on your bruises. Checking to make sure she got everything, Esther closed the first aid kit and walked back to the bathroom to put it away. You turned to Steven, who had a worried expression on his face.

"You could have gotten a lot more hurt than just that... and we weren't even there to protect you." He whispered, which you heard, since he was sitting right next to you. You waved him off.

"It's okay, Esther was there to help me out." You assured him, giving him a small smile. He smiled back, and Khonshu entered the room while Esther was walking back to the couch.

"Is the small child worm ok?" He asked, pointing to you with his moon staff. You nodded in response, since you didn't want to respond while Esther was there.

"Ok, good. I didn't want to no longer have any friends if she couldn't go anywhere, or something."

"What about me?-" you heard Steven mumble as Khonshu shook his head.

"You don't count, worm." Khonshu said, now pointing at Steven with the staff. You snickered, later stopping as you remembered Esther was still in the room.

"What's funny?" She questioned, looking towards you.

"Nothing, I was just thinking about something." You tried to think of the first excuse that came up in your mind. She nodded, her confused expression not fading.
