While walking the trail back to the bus Dan heard a low grumbling sound. "You hungry?"
"I thought that was you." Jasper said. But the grumbling sound began to grow louder, and louder. They looked around in the bushes looking for any creatures, but they realized that they never heard any rustling of the leaves.
"What the fuck?" Dan said. It continued growing louder, they could feel their ear drums rumbling within their ears. Michelle, Finn and Eli who were ahead turned back to look at them having heard the noise themselves. All of a sudden it got dark and cold. The air around them was changing causing panic within them. The ground began to shake from the grumbling sound. Pebbles jumped up and down, bouncing off of everyone's ankles. The trees quivered causing the birds in them to take flight. Dan and Jasper moved closer together fearing that an earthquake could be happening. The noise became so loud they thought their ear drums were going to explode. Then all of a sudden it stopped. Everything was peaceful. They walked towards the rest of the group when they were knocked to the ground by a gust of wind. Landing on their backs Dan and Jasper see an aircraft zoom by in the sky. It made the crack of a whip times a thousand as it sped past them in the sky going what looked like hundreds of miles per hour. The pair crawled ahead to the other three.
"Holy fucking shit." Michelle whispered.
"What the fuck are we doing any more." Finn said. "This is a suicide mission to try to stay alive. We're gonna die anyways!"
"We don't know that." Dan said. "What if, like they said on the radio, they aren't able to handle heat! If they can't handle heat then we have a chance of surviving."
"Sounds like a far fetched idea to me. Do we even know what state we're in?" Finn asked.
"We're somewhere in Missouri." Jasper said.
"Once they know the heat the aliens can take then we can make out move. Hopefully they can't handle the heat in Texas. Saves us a long trip." Eli said. They heard footsteps crunching in the soil behind them. They all jumped to their feet and got ready to defend themselves when they saw Jessica and Wendy.
"Oh my fucking god you both scared us." Dan said.
"Not my problem bitch." Wendy said.
"Did you guys see that, that... that thing?" Jessica asked.
"Yeah, we got blown over by it." Jasper said.
"We were in the middle of kissing our lower lips when that thing came and blew us over, then we were kissing with our upper lips." Wendy smiled.
"Can you not talk about our sex with them?" Jessica said through gritted teeth.
"Why? It's not gonna make a big difference." Wendy shrugged.
"Well, I don't want people knowing about us having sex because it should be a just us thing." Jessica responded.
"But we're gonna live with them for the rest of our lives, wouldn't you want them to have some insight on our lives?"
"About our lives, yes, but now about our sex life." Jessica furrowed her eyebrows.
"Do you two need a moment?" Michelle asked.
"Yeah, we can go back to the bus while you two figure out... whatever you need to." Dan said.
"Please." Jessica said, prompting the other five to leave. "Why do you always do this?" She asked.
"Do what?"
"You always tell them things that they don't need to know. You tell them things that I want between just us, but you keep going and telling everyone on that bus about our sex life."
"It's because Im proud of our relationship and I want to spread it."
"But do you need to do it by talking about our sex life"
"I guess not, but I want people to know that we've gotten to that point in our relationship."
"But they already know that. We literally showed them our sex spot."
"Yeah, I guess I get too excited."
"How about we take a break from sex for a little bit? We can reconnect with each other without focusing on our bodies."
"Deal." Wendy said and they walked down the trail.
