The next morning Ms.Moor started driving a few minutes after waking up. To get them as far south as possible. "Honey?"
"Yes?"
"Wake the kids, tell them that we just entered Texas. Ha, the sign says everything's bigger here. I've seen a Texan before least pleasure of my life." She muttered to herself.
"Hey, kids." Some motion came from the groups in the bus. "We're in Texas now."
"Really?" Wendy said propping herself up on her elbows.
"Yes really. Look at that giant cowboy hat statue." Jessica pointed it out causing the team to crowd on one side.
"Is that... a giant cock." Wendy grinned as she watched every one frantically look around. "Right there." She pointed to a chicken statue which towered in the distance.
"I hate you." Jessica put her hand on Wendy's shoulder.
"I hate you too." Wendy said jokingly back. They all grabbed food to eat for breakfast and sat down excited to almost be at the country border to Mexico.
"I can't wait to be in the land of tacos and burritos." Finn's eyes widened.
"You know thats not all Mexico is about right?" Eli asked him. "There's the Aztec templos the Ciudad de México and the traditional houses."
"Yeah, I know. But I haven't had a taco or burrito in so long. My mouth misses the feeling of them. I miss the warm feeling of the meat and tortilla in my mouth. It felt so nice."
"I miss real food too, but we gotta enjoy the sights we're gonna see only once. I've always wanted to see ancient civilizations." Michelle said dreamingly.
"We're passing Austin right now kids." Mr.Moor said. "Half way through Texas until Mexico, then we got a few more countries following Mexico, and were home free in Brazil." He looked out the front window while placing a hand on his wife's arm. "I cant wait Mollie. You, me, Dan's dad, and the kids. All of us together in the Amazon Rainforest for the rest of our lives." He paused. "It's gonna get lonely out there, but at least I have you." He kissed her head.
"I'd be gladly stuck in a forest with you anytime John. You're my entire life, and I would never be able to live without you. You cheer me up on the bad days, and you keep my mood up on the good days. You're perfect."
"Aww, I love you sweetheart." He kissed her hair again.
"I love you too." She sighed. "This feels like it's gonna take forever, how many days have we been driving for?"
"At least three, but it feels like an eternity, there's nothing to do out here."
"Why don't we play a game?" Jasper said.
"Like?" Dan questioned.
"We could..." Jasper started.
"Sing a song and someone has to continue it." Jessica shrugged.
"Ooo, that's sounds like fun!" Wendy said.
"Alright, who's gonna go first?" Michelle asked.
"Jessica should! She's the one who suggested it." Jasper motioned to her.
"Ok, let me just think...Don't stop make it pop."
"Dj blow my speakers up." Finn continued singing. "Tik Tok Ke$ha!"
"Correct, you go next."
"Ok, ok." He cleared his throat. "Bow chika bow bow."
"That's what my baby says." Dan began singing.
"Yes!"
"I love Gitchee Gitchee Goo from Phineas and Ferb." Dan said. "Alright alright, this one's gonna be easy. "Country roads."
The entire group began singing. "Take me home, to the place where I belong, West Virginia..." they finished singing John Denver's Take Me Home, Country Roads and continued the game for as many songs as their vocal chords could handle.
Jasper coughed, "Oh my God my throat hurts so bad." He talked with Dan.
"Same, it's like someone scratched their nails on a chalk board, but the chalk board was my throat."
"You sound so cute with a horse throat."
"I do not." Dan managed to croak out.
"Yes you do." Jasper smiled at him. "Say 'I love you Jasper.'"
"No."
"C'mon. Pwease, just for mese." Jasper widened his eyes and inverted his lower lip.
"Fine." Dan sighed and rolled his eyes. "I love you Jasper."
"Aww, your so cute." He tickled Dan.
"Stop." Dan laughed out.
"Why?" He paused. "I like seeing you happy." He resumed the tickling. Dan pulled Jasper in and kissed him.
"Now will you?"
"Deal. But one more?" Dan looked at Jasper and shakes his head before pulling him in once more.
"I remember when we first dated." Jessica said to Wendy.
"Yeah we were just like them." Wendy replied as the two of them watched Jasper and Dan. "What happened to those days."
"What do you mean?" Jessica asked.
"The days where we would hang out and do things together?"
"You mean the days when you still lived on my street until you moved to Hoeton."
"You mean Hoetown?"
"I don't know how it's spelt. It's like they change it every so often." Jessica laughed. "It's like if someone were to use grey and gray in a story, but in every other chapter they forgot which one they used, and swapped the spelling."
Wendy chuckled, "I don't know whose dumb enough to do that." She looked to the ceiling of the bus. "I wonder about the aliens. Why do they want to invade and kill the human species? What's so appealing about Earth to them?"
"I dunno, but if I ever see one of them I don't know how I'd react. Maybe I'd throw a punch, but I dunno."
"I'd try stealing one of their guns. Don't forget what they said on the radio, when hit by the green ring emitted from it, it'll slice a circle hole within you."
"That's the scariest part to me."
"We just have to try to find something to block it, or to disarm the ring."
"True." The bus fell silent as everyone relaxed and enjoyed the view.
