Contacting Space

Chapter 32

"Congratulations cadets. You will now be apart of the American League of Interplanetary Extraterrestrial Negotiation, or A.L.I.E.N. for short."
"Wha-?" Jessica said as they all looked confused.
"Your friend here, Jasper, has been helping you through your training all this way. We had to 'kill' him as to prove that you all had the capabilities to make it on your own, and you exceeded with flying colors."
"So...do you not love me?" Dan asked with sadness taking over his emotions.
"Are you joking? Of course I do! Why else would we have... Dad cover your ears." Jasper looked to the person who was telling the nine that they had passed. "Had sex." He finished whispering causing them to break out giggling.
"Son, you're seventeen. I know you and him have been having sex." Jaspers father rolled his eyes as Jasper cringed causing another round of laughter.
"But quick question. Where did you guys go then if you weren't at your house when we went by?" Jessica asked.
"You see, we have a basement and we stayed there because no one else came in the house."
"And how did you get the entire town to like go insane...?" Dan prompted another question.
"Well, there was technically an invasion, and you did kill some real people, but we made agreements with the aliens and they agreed to help us so we could train, and then test you." They all showed a face of guilt as they were told the news. "Hey, don't worry. No one needs to know." Jasper's dad shrugged his shoulders and started laughing.
"Just ignore him guys." Jasper rolled his eyes. "We have a serious dilemma on our hands. Throughout the universe there's multiple alien groups who are creating terror within the galactic space as they raid and invade planets, killing everyone who's there, and stealing anything that's of value to them. We need your help."
"Why us?" Dan asked. "Haven't we already been through enough?"
"No. You don't understand." His boyfriend laughed. "We need you, I especially need you because I'm in love with you, but we need you guys. You have proven your resilience, your intelligence, and your agility and ability to defeat aliens within the past week or two. You are the chosen ones as you know what you are doing. We know that through thick and thin, all of you will never leave another's side. The nine of you are a team who would always find a happy ending, making sure that-"
"Ok ok we get it." Wendy got Jasper to stop. "We get we're a good team, wha else?"
"Well, there is nothing else. You've trusted in the government, and took heed to our warnings. Remember to trust in the government, for I have a question for you now. Will you trust in us to work together as a protection league from Earth?"
"What's in it for us?" Michelle asked.
"Nothing besides pleasure from knowing you helped." He shrugged. The nine formed a circle to start talking about the decision they were about to make. "So, are you willing to help us?"
The nine of them looked towards each other and smiled.
