PETE:

I woke up suddenly, not fully understanding what was happening. It was dark outside, and I had the impression that I had slept for several months, everything ached from the numbness but Porschay, standing next to me, assured me that it had only been three days. He held Venice in his arms as boy slept and rocked him as he paced quietly around the room. My mouth was dry, so I held out a trembling hand for the glass and took a careful sip, fearing that too much at once would make me sick.

- Where is everybody? - I asked and Porschay looked at me fearfully. - Porschay?

- Ah, I shouldn't tell you this... - he began with hesitation, and I froze.

- What happened? Where is Vegas? Why he's not here? And Macau? Porschay, talk!

I flooded him with a wave of words, but he slowly put Venice down and walked over to me, asking me to be quieter.

- When you slept, someone kidnapped Macau - he said with sadness in his voice, and I sprang to my feet, standing in front of him in white long pajamas pants and shirt from a set.

- What?!

I felt dizzy but I decided to ignored it. Porschay grabbed my hand to keep me from falling, then Kim walked into the room.

- Oh, you're alive - he muttered, but he was pale and looked frantically at the door that had just been closed.

Something must have been going on outside, I pulled away from Porschay, grabbed the phone from shelf and walked over to him.

- Stop him, Khun - Chay asked, but I gave Kim a sharp look.

- Where is he?! - we both knew I was asking for Vegas.

He didn't answer for a moment, then sighed deeply. Kim couldn't win with me this time.

- In the basement, but Pete - he warned before I managed to leave. - You better not go there, it's not the Vegas you know.

I turned to him with arrogant, angry look.

- I know every version of Vegas.

I left and carefully descended the stairs. I didn't know what was going on while I was unconscious, but Macau was in danger, and Vegas probably couldn't find him. Just before entering the basement, I saw Alcazio leaning against the wall. He was pale as paper, with blood on his hands, and his eyes were just lifeless. Man was smoking a cigarette and didn't even pay attention to me. I continued my walk, leaning on the railing to keep from falling off.

First I heard a scream and a piercing laugh. A laugh so crazy it reminded me of the early days of my imprisonment with Vegas. I shivered, feeling the fear pouring in, but I had to get to my lover before I will completely lose him. Vegas was standing in front of the table on which the remains of the man were lying. The taut, sweaty, naked back reflected the muffled light. I saw his hard muscles glow and then he flexed his neck as if to stretch it. The hand he had held in front of him fell to its side, and I saw him holding a knife, blood dripping from it. This damned liquid covered his whole body, and I felt as if I had caught the devil in his torture chamber. He didn't hear me, just kept saying "where is he?" but the pile of meat that was left of the man he was questioning could not answer him anymore.
