Month After Pete and Vegas Adopted Venice

That morning wasn't the easiest, as Vegas Theerapanyakul noted, waking up to a loud cry coming from his office. The combination of the bedroom and the workplace had many advantages, unfortunately they all disappeared when a child appeared in the house. Sighing and rolling over in bed, the man reached his hand into the empty, already cool place next to him, knowing that once again Pete had spent at least half of the night with the baby. Most of the time, the brunet felt jealous when he watched his partner fall in love with a little monster, but on the other hand, a strange feeling arose inside him. Something he couldn't define, and it terrified his whole existence when he began to feel it. This often happened when the three of them were spending time and Vegas accidentally saw their reflection together in the mirror. If he also managed to add his brother to this picture, the heart squeezed tighter, and something deep inside was burning, a feeling that he thought he had killed in himself long time ago.

Vegas Theerapanyakul was not a good man. A lot could be said about him, but good was not one of those words, because Vegas was tough and untamed. Crazy when there is a need and gentle to confuse the opponent. Man was like a chameleon, adapting to the surroundings in a perfect way, at least that was the case until the kidnapping. Ever since Pete came into his life, everything Vegas thought of himself has been shattered. The day when the great and powerful Vegas Theerapanyakul fell to his knees, crying out his eyes through the loss of the love of his life, his heart woke up suddenly, painfully, in the worst possible way, but woke up.

Since then, the hope of his lover's return, longing for him, and the fear of losing him completely mingled inside until Vegas noticed the light at the end of the tunnel. A month after the accident, he woke up and saw an angel in front of him. The angel who reached out to his pathetic self, allowed him to taste those addictive lips and gave him a reason to live. Love was never a goal in Vegas' life until he met Pete, after this, love was all he wanted, all he cared about.

Now, another month after his return from the hospital, surrounded by diapers and baby clothes, awakened every morning by screams and tears, Vegas wondered when he went from a dangerous mafioso to a dad. The man knew that Venice was his brother, but at Pete's request, they adopted the boy together and in legal documents both were listed as parents. And just like that Vegas Theerapanyakul became a father.

Hiding the smile that had crept onto his face after last thoughts, the brunet stood up, stretching and. throwing on a wine-colored silk bathrobe, walked to the office, making a grumpy face. Yes, Vegas knew he was the father. Yes, Vegas felt he was one, but he promised himself never to say it out loud. Not him, the great and mighty Vegas Theerapanyakul, the vanquisher of most of the Thai mafia enemies, the man who was quietly called the Devil. He will never admit he become a dad, not, with the history od fucked up father figures in his family.

"Did we wake you up?" asked Pete, raising his head quickly.

Slender man held in his arms still crying Venice, who, for some reason unknown to them, was very dissatisfied today. Vegas came closer, first kissing his lover on the forehead, then on the cheek, until he finally managed to get to his plump lips for a short while. The slightly spicy taste of curry, still lingering in Pete's mouth, only made Vegas feel the warmth inside.

"I was about to get up anyway. You've already eaten," he said last words with a slight grudge, hoping that they would be able to have breakfast together.

"Just now," Pete admitted, blushing. "Venice couldn't be calmed down and I had to comfort him for hours, I was hungry,"

Vegas nodded, this time paying attention to the baby boy hugging Pete. The child had a reddened face, huge drops flowing from his wide-open eyes, this time staring at his dad. The man grimaced, not understanding why he was being looked at, but his expression must have frightened the boy, who raised a louder scream, clenching small fists on Pete's hands which were holding him.

"You know, a smile costs nothing," Pete muttered, returning to rocking, and although the warmth spilled in the middle of Vegas' tummy, seeing the affection with which the lover was taking care of the child, he still considered such feelings a weakness.

His late father's words, which had poisoned him for years, were not easy to eradicate.

"Are you sure you want me to smile?" here Vegas stretched his mouth wide, sticking his eyes into Pete, who laughed, giving him a gentle thumb in the nose.

"We both know you can smile normally,"

"I don't recall such moments,"

Vegas walked to his desk, taking a watch from it, which he began to put on one of his hands. Late gift from his mother, still treasured by man.

"You smile blissfully when you are in me," Pete whispered, blushing to the top of his head, and before the mafioso answered him, both him and child disappeared from the room, chased by loud and pearly laughter.

Vegas was in love. Completely infatuated with his cute bodyguard boy, and although they were still trying to get to know each other, and a child at their young age and still fragile situation was a foolish idea, Venice brought a lot of warmth into their lives. They had to give up sleepless nights, brand new clothes, now dirtied by the little one, dealing with smelly diapers, but in the total reckoning the positives outweighed the negative sides. And although Vegas will never say it out loud, although he will always call Venice as the little monster, inside he will know the truth.

Thinking this, the man frowned gently when an unpleasant fetor came to his nose. A moment of looking around the room and man easily managed to find the reason for the grimace on his face. Venice's diaper, probably filled with boy's breakfast, lay in the trash, next to a note asking to be carried away, and just like that the great and terrible Vegas Theerapanyakul, a snake in human form, the devil incarnate, quickly grabbed a garbage-filled bag, carrying it to the chute.

"I'm losing my claws," he muttered before leaving the office, closing the door quietly.
