FRANCE'S POV

As I got all the files my girlfriend needed to prove her dad gave her mom HIV, I saw something I was sure no one else was supposed to. I printed all I needed and then covered my tracks so Lucian wouldn't know what happened.

I know that Tiara is going to hate me when I show her what I found. I remember that time she and Ale had broken up because he refused to tell her the truth and her dad would cut her off. Ale's father was the right-hand man in the rivaling gang Lion Heart, and Tiara's father is involved in Gang de Demon. I knew about Ale, but it wasn't my secret to tell. I hope she understands that though.

That is why Lucian reacted that way to their relationship, and his affiliation with the gang was why Tiara got shot.

TIARA'S POV

When I got back into the room, I was feeling all different kinds of emotions coursing through my body. Hurt, anger, sadness, and pain. Juilliard was my dream, and my dad knew that, and he still wants me to do something different. How selfish can he be? Because of my mixed emotions, I didn't see France sitting on the bed sulking. He said he had something important to tell me.

As he sat on the bed, I wondered what he could've found to make him look this upset. I walked over to him and touched his arm, making him look up at me. He didn't utter a word, his silence making me nervous. He had some printed documents in his hands, which he handed to me. Confused, I took them and read the first page, where I saw some medical files and bills in my dad's name. He had HIV for two years now, but at this current moment, it seemed as if his sickness was 'asleep.'

"Yes," I exclaimed, smiling. I looked over at France and continued, "Why are you so upset when we have proof that bastard killed my mom."

"Continue reading, please," he said, sounding dejected, his voice cracking at the end.

Still confused, I skipped to the other page. What I was reading, I couldn't even fathom. My father was one of the top-tier members in Gang de Demon. He knew about the hit that was placed on me by Brick, the guy who goes to my school. But why? I don't even know. Tears ran down my face. What?

As I read through the files, I saw that the reason the hit was placed on me was because of my relationship with Alejandro. Ale was the son of the right-hand man of the don of Lion Heart. My dad knew I was supposed to die, and he only told me to close the windows? And on top of that, that is why he didn't want me with Alejandro. He put my life in danger and had the audacity to try and control me?

With blood in my eyes and vengeance in my veins, I left the room to find him. All I saw was red. I grabbed the keycard for his door from the bedside table and then rushed out the door.

As I entered the elevator, determined to make it to the fourth floor to room number 447, I thought about what I would say to him. How I would curse his name and declare that I don't want anything to do with him. Even though this is not only a betrayal from my father, it is about all the lies and dishonesty and the omissions. I am hurt.

As the elevator dinged, telling me that I was on the fourth floor, I saw France through the corner of my eye, but I couldn't focus on him, not right now. I promptly walked over to my father's room, not caring what he would say or how he feels or if I would even get to go to Juilliard. I would find alternatives.

I used the keycard and entered the cold room, which is the same temperature as my father's heart. "Lucian!" I called out.

There was no answer. The room was eerily quiet, the only sounds were France and my footsteps on the marble floors. "Go search the bathroom," I tell France as my nervousness increases. A shiver runs down my spine as I sense that something is wrong. My anger from the revelations subsiding.
