Now that Ale and I were in a relationship, we spent every waking moment together. We went on dates, we kissed, we laughed, and practiced with Noah for our band.
Collin and Dom returned to school. We sat at lunch and during classes while the boys sat at their usual table; Ale would sit with us sometimes. When Dom and Collin found out about the band and Ale and I, they freaked but were happy for me nonetheless, especially when they found out Ale was my boyfriend.
Noah really liked hanging around Dom though... weird. Dom wouldn't give him the time of day because she wanted something real, not just a fling.
Since Ale and I got together, we haven't seen much of France. He mostly hangs out with Zion. Zion was nice with him, but they weren't official. Noah says they just have casual sex, but he would say anything... we know he has no filter.
I don't know how my life went from such a low point to a high one. The band received positive feedback from our peers. We currently have our first gig at The Coffee Club. The boys and I practice on even days, and Noah and I wrote songs on Fridays.
It has been a whole month since my party. My dad was back, but seeing as today was Saturday, he was at work. When he came back from his business trip, he bought me a sky blue Porsche. That made me even more curious about what was going on with him.
Alejandro, Noah, and I were practicing our new song for tonight. We had a real gig; isn't that exciting?
The pain of my mom's death was kinda subsiding, but I cried every week and not every day nowadays. I still haven't told anyone about her. When people ask about my mom, I just say she's not here, then change the topic.
. . .
Soon enough, my boyfriend was ringing the doorbell. I rushed to the door, happy to see him. As I opened the door, my heart sank; it wasn't Ale, it was France. I was happy to see him though because we haven't hung out in a while.
"Can I come in?" he asked.
"Yeah, you may," I said, letting him in.
"Mom's been asking for you."
"Really? She's so nice."
"Yeah, you should come over for dinner sometime," he said somberly.
"I will, but is something bothering you, France?"
"I'm sorry for not hanging with you. I guess I was just jealous of your relationship with Alejandro."
Why would he be jealous though? Unless... but it couldn't be.
"Why?"
"You're so slow sometimes it's cute," he chuckled at that.
"I liked you, Tiara." WOW!!!
"Liked?" I asked.
"Yeah, but I'm going official with Zion now. I just wanted to tell you so we could be besties again."
"You mean so you could annoy me again?"
"Precisely. I am your Mr. Persistent, aren't I?" he teased.
"Always and forever." I smiled, hugging him. This small action restored our friendship.
"I'm coming to The Coffee Club later, to watch you guys perform."
The Coffee Club was a local coffee shop. It was quaint, and a lot of people go there, especially on the weekend.
"Great. Ale and Noah should be here any minute to practice. You can stay if you'd like," I told Mr. Persistent.
As I spoke about the boys, they were knocking on the door. I ran to the door to see Ale; I missed him even though I saw him yesterday. My eyes danced along his attire. He was wearing blue jeans and a sky blue dress shirt folded to his elbows, of course. The top buttons were undone too. I ran into his arms and hugged him.
