"Ange, are you there? Can you...me...answer immediately."

The buzzing of the device attached to my jacket woke me up from the deep slumber I had. I think that was the longest time I have ever slept.

I opened my eyes but closed them again when the sunlight hits me directly on the face. I shielded my hand from the light as I look around my surrounding. We landed on the sand instead, or is it just me who made it here?

My eyes tried searching for the three troublemakers but they are nowhere to be seen.

"Ange? Are you still there...system down...shutting off."

I nervously removed my jacket and took the device but it was no longer working. I tried readjusting its batteries, but it still remain dead silent. That was my father trying to reach out, and the only medium that I could use to talk to him is already not working.

I stopped myself from throwing the device across the sea with the thought that maybe I could still fix it. I scoffed at the idea when I realized that I am in the middle of nowhere.

My hand automatically went to hold the pendant but I remembered that someone had thrown it outside the aircraft, which probably meant that I can't find it unless I have help. Yet, help is somehow impossible because the island doesn't have any living humans.

I stood up and dusted myself from all the dirt and sand. I also decided to keep the parachute and fold it for survival. I started to walk deeper into the island, and so far my eyes have caught caves and that old wrecked ship resting at the shore.

Seeing an ancient ship is rather odd. I used to only see it in books but now I can see it personally. I dropped the folded parachute I was carrying and tested the support of the ship if I can still go inside. The ship is not that massive but it's pretty spacious inside. When the planks didn't crack, I walked even further until I reached inside the ship.

Maybe I could even stay here for a night until I fix this malfunctioning device.

The ship didn't even make a noise like it was new, but its construction proves that this ship existed when I wasn't yet born. My eyes roamed every detail then I caught something interesting.

My fingertips made their way to the symbol carved on the wood. It looked intricate and sophisticated, I wonder who was the owner of this ship but they are probably already hunted or dead.

I was walking to reach the door that says Captain, but my foot suddenly stepped on something that made a noise for the first time. My head was full of curiosity so I bent down and touched the plank I stopped at.

It was quite different from the other planks, and then I saw the same symbol again. I dusted off the dirt that was blocking its image. The symbol wasn't just a carved sigil but it was also an indication that the plank can be opened.

I gasped when I saw stairs going down. This ship wasn't that massive, so how is it possible that it has a lower ground level?

My curiosity got the best of me again which made me go down the stairs that are remarkably still stable. It was dark and my only source of light was the one coming from the opened plank. I put my trust in the plank to not close because I won't see anything down here.

I have read about those supernatural entities that roam around the dark, but those stories didn't faze me because there are a lot more things scarier than ghosts, like my father's punishment once I am out here.

There's really nothing to see around here so I decided to return upstairs. Unfortunately, I took a rather heavy step that made the plank slowly close. I was embraced by the complete darkness.

I cursed under my breath when the device that was with me won't even show a sign of light. The best thing I could do was to walk around with my hands extended in front of me to feel the things I passed by.

"Hello?" That's the only word I could speak when I heard something weird behind my ears.

"Hi there."
