A/N: I don't believe in "Oh I saw her for the first time and now I trust her like hell" or "I'm gonna love her on day 2" so yeah, relationships, even as friends take time to build up.

So though there's characters who are much more kinder or may get more flustered by a girl, they wouldn't just start trusting or being open just like that, there will be the ice breaking and the warming up.

It isn't half as bad to go back to the middle school years, that was the time when you still believed your parents cared about you. It was during your high school years that you had finally let your mind accept the reality.

As for now, you had a family- uncle, aunt, Max, Bruce and Tony, so you weren't alone. Moreover you now have a whole new chance to life.

Sure, the whole situation is just as annoying as it was confusing, because you now have to keep your behaviour in check and make sure to talk in alignment with the current year.

But you can still enjoy it all, right?

All the years of being a broken adult have made you crave the sort of freedom you had back in the middle school years- freedom in perspective of life. You could chose any field to study on, make new friends, hang around, mess around, anything.

And now that you've been brought back to this stage, you're determined to give it a shot. you decide to make most of your time in this new world until you find a way back.

There's something deep inside you which doesn't want a way back home, and maybe you agree with it, but for now you try to focus on the living freely part.

Today, all the bringing in bags and boxes is complete, and only fixing the remaining things remains. Your room is almost completely set up- all the furniture and appliances are in and you are left to give it a finishing touch.

"There's an old couple to the right and family to the left," Max suddenly drags you and the twins outside that afternoon, uncle and aunt are already outside, "The family has a boy who's around your age. He has his finals going on, I'm planning to get you enrolled in the same school as him."

"Your wish, captain." you smile at him, "But where are we going now?"

"Oh. the neighbours called us over for lunch."

You halt.

"Come on, we're too many to go- " you try to make an excuse but Max isn't taking any shit and replies with a curt "you'll still be coming".

From the moment you all step in to the moment you're all taken to the table, the adults talk their formalities and begin their ice breakers and warming up. You take the moment to be to yourself.

Taking to neighbours isn't a forte of yours.

Actually, talking to people in general isn't.

But you know you're pretty normal when talking, all you need is the slightest bit of trust. Or at least a confirmation that the person you're talking to isn't a snake.

Almost as if in an instant, the conversation steers towards you.

"How are you doing, sweetheart?" the brunette woman asks, her smile bright and genuine.

"I'm doing fine.. " your voice gives away your nervousness.

"I assume we haven't had our introductions yet, I'm Sendou Ami."

"(L/N) (Name)." you bow slightly, eyes flitting over to where the man of the house introduces himself as "Sendou Atsu" and his son as "Sendou Atsushi".

Sendou Atsu is a wide shouldered, tall man with pale reddish eyes and mahogany-brown hair while Sendou Atsushi, his son seemed to have the same colored eyes with plum hair styled into a weird pompadour which you don't seem to find any head or tail to.
