Late update, I know. I fell sick and then my brain stopped braining (which it still isn't).
(I literally wrote a word called 'exhaustrain' and didn't notice is until the third time reading that part) (if there's any grammatical errors please excuse them)
I'VE ADDED LINK TO A POLL ALONG WITH THIS CHAPTER. You'll find the option of 'External Link' under the "continue to next part" option.

"Baji-san please. I'm so sorry, I can't take it anymore. Please stop."
It's been long enough already of this torture and you're an inch away from falling to the ground in exhaustion.
"No." Baji doesn't look the slightest bit bothered about how red your face is or how breathless you are, "Up. Now." You inhale sharply and muster all the energy you have inside to push yourself against the ground but you can't.
"Up, properly." he orders again, his hands folded at his chest.
"It's hurting my arm." you say in a small voice, unsure whether or not Baji would entertain your words or not.
"Did your arm not hurt when you used it to fucking propel yourself off a wall because a bunch of boys were chasing you? Oh, and might I fucking mention that you chose them chasing you over coming to us for help!"
"I'm sorry.." you get up to sit on your knees and look up at him with apologetic glassy eyes, lips trembling as a sad frown forms on your face, "I was just... scared. I-I just... " a tear falls down your face, you clutch your cast, "It hurt so much when I jumped over the wall."
Baji's anger drops to zero as the first tear rolls down your cheek, his expressions go blank. The moment the second tear falls out, he crouches in front of you, "O-Okay, that's it for the punishment."
"O-Oh, thank you." you quickly wipe your tears.
It's not like you had intended them to come—your go to excuse for running away is telling the others that you were scared but now that you've said this in front of Baji, there's just this odd clenching in your chest.
Something deep inside is screaming about it being true— as if you are scared.
And that, not of one thing.
Back when you ran away you were indeed scared not only of the boys but also of the fact that there's a terrible future you have to change. That, along with the fear of Hanma getting to know of your friends really had shaken you up.
The tears falling down your cheeks are tears of truth.
Baji probably notices this too, he comes closer and wraps his arms around you, hand gently rubbing your back and for a moment, he lets you relax like that.
"Everything about the chasing put aside, (Name)-chan," he begins a to cut the tension in the air, "you did just collapse at four push ups. You really need to train."
You punch his abdomen while still in the hug, "You're a bitch, Baji-san. I hate you."
"Oh?" he hums and places his chin on top of your head, "Is that why you're so nuzzled into me right now?"
You push him off and get up to hurry back into the restaurant while showing him your middle finger, but the moment you turn, you're met with the judgy gaze of Mikey leaned against the wall.
