You know that your brothers are weird. They're the most messed and complex human beings you've ever encountered but never have they ever been as weird as they were being since yesterday when you told them about the kitten. All three keep staring at you as if you are some sort of senseless psycho, as though you'd said something so stupid that even a kindergartner could get a good laugh out of it.
To say you are fed up with this would be the understatement of the century. At this point, you seethe.
"What the hell is wrong with you?" you sneer at Tony who has been staring at you the whole time while you have lunch, "Can you stop it? Is there something funny on my face or what?"
"Language." your uncle says in a bored tone, totally oblivious to what exchange of glances is going on between his sons "And Tony, why can you not concentrate on your food?"
The other two brothers don't even bother interfere, and that's just as weird as everything else is.
"Hey (Name)..." Max whispers out to you from beside you, he looks like he would age a decade if he doesn't let his stress out, "Let's have a talk after lunch, shall we?"
"Yeah." you say with your lips trembling the slightest bit in annoyance, "Let's do that."
.
.
"Alright, so," Max, Tony and Bruce are the only people sitting in his room, "just know that if there's anything that bothers you, you can always come to us. Don't ever hesitate."
"Come to the point please." your foot taps against the floor, eyebrows crinkled in annoyance.
"I'll speak." Bruce shifts in his plate, there's a worried look on his face, "You don't have long term memory loss or something, right, (Name)?"
"What?"
"I mean, you've been acting pretty strange recently, and then there's the incident with that cat... you were allergic to cats until last winter."
You almost choke.
Max nods, his gaze flickering between you and Bruce, "Either your allergy just vanished overnight or, well, you're... confused about what happened yesterday."
You luckily happen to have the perfect knowledge to counter this, though the shock from this revelation delays the response.
"I.. Isn't that how allergies go?" you turn to them, "Allergies are sudden, random responses of the body. Their symptoms can be stopped by medication, yeah, but the only way an allergy can go forever is just as randomly as it comes."
"And then there's this." Tony speaks up, "You're suddenly talking about stuff you've never known before."
"I study?" you shrug, "Come on, what has gotten into all of you?"
"What I mean to say is.." Max says, "just hear me out, okay... So... what if you're not... feeling well, and it isn't that you've lost your allergy, it's just that... uh.. you assume you met the cat?"
You blink.
"You're suggesting I see things?"
"I'm not suggesting you see things, but maybe... you did... once?" Max looks too bothered by the idea his words suggest, and even more bothered by the fact that you're not taking his words too well.
"Are you calling me crazy?"
"Seeing things doesn't mean you're crazy," Tony begins to say, but the glares by the other brothers make him correct himself, "I mean, if.. if you see things. It doesn't mean you're crazy."
