"A neighbor?" Takemichi is surprised, he doesn't remember Sendou ever having neighbors at all.

True, he may not remember a lot of things twelve years from now but he definitely remembers the house beside Sendou's being empty all through his middle school life.

This is weird, but he doubts it could matter much. As far as he's bothered, Yamagishi is busy asking Sendou whether the girl is pretty and hot or not.

"She's the girl who was looking at us when we reported to the police the other day, remember?" Sendou ignores Yamagishi completely, and when the boy whines, Sendou mentions you're definitely smart and that he's never getting a chance.

"I did?" Takemichi doesn't remember this girl at all, he's definitely seen her before he entered here from the future. Sendou and the others give him a weird look.

"Come on, dude." Yamagishi puts an arm over Takemichi's shoulder, "Tachibana-san isn't here so you don't need to act all dedicated to her."

"Are you okay, Takemichi?" Sendou looks worried, "You couldn't remember where we're going earlier, you don't have a fever or something, right?"

"N-No..." Takemichi flinches, "I just zoned out, I guess, didn't pay attention to the whole neighbor deal either. I didn't think it would be as important."

"That's not very like you." Sendou hums, "You usually never let go of things that easily."

"And what do you mean you didn't pay attention to the neighbor deal? He literally talks about how cool the girl's older brothers are twenty-four seven." Makoto points out, "Stop acting all tough, Takemichi."

"Jeez, what's acting tough in that?" Takemichi is a little worried. His head is hung over the words Sendou has just said- 'you usually never let go of things that easily' -because he had, in fact, left everything behind and run away.

Max stares at the clock as anxiousness engulfs his heart.

He found you lying passed out after having beat up a bunch of boys just the previous day. You'd been crying after all that, and despite knowing all of this, Max's father has allowed you to go for a walk to get some groceries.

Max knows you're no joke when it comes to physical skills. Sure, you're not the strongest of girls, but the clean punch you managed to land on him confirmed to him that the martial arts he'd had you learn are still coursing through your body.

The doctor had given the whole family an earful for expecting you to be level headed after everything- of course you'd be at the end of your patience. It's natural for the bottled up emotions that developed over years to express themselves as pure aggression and rage.

Max is the oldest brother. He blames himself for being careless enough to not be able to take care of his family.

He hates that he couldn't take care of you and wasn't there when he needed you, and keeps on swearing to himself to make your life better. That's the least he can do.
