"Can I ask what happened?"
Smiley is currently leaning on his bike parked outside your house. You're still seated on and are trying to make your puffy eyes less conspicuous with a little make up.
"Nothing much." you shrug, not sure whether or not to tell him, but then again, Smiley is reliable, right, "I... got some sort of a memory flashback from years ago."
"Was it a bad memory?"
You look up at him.
Smiley isn't smiling anymore— he's looking at you with his lips relaxed and a calm expression on his face. His eyes are open, they're peach-brown, so warm you even feel yourself easing.
"There's hardly anything that was a good memory back then."
He nods and faces the ground, almost as if going over the words you've spoken. You take the moment to continue with the make up, though your eyes flit over to him every few seconds.
"I'm sure there would be a lot now." he says a moment later, stretching further back on the bike, "You've got funny people surrounding you."
You smile. "It is nice now. Yeah."
A long comfortable silence follows in which you finish with the make up and put everything back in your bag. You honestly don't wish to get off the bike but you can't have Smiley stand outside all day.
"Wanna hang out tomorrow?"
You're a little surprised by his question.
"The same guy who compared me to a malariatic pig is asking me to hang out? How honouring."
"Owners gotta take their pets out for walks, sometimes." a genuine grin rises to his face, though not as wide or close-eyed as his characteristic one.
"You're not my owner, Nahoya. And do not even dream of something wrong, it would never be true."
"Why would I dream of getting disappointed." he smirks towards you, eyes so unshakably in line with yours that you doubt you're very aware of anything around.
"No one would get disappointed with me." you decide to finally get off the bike, eyes still focused on him, "And you know that."
As Smiley watches you wave a quick goodbye and disappear into your house, he sighs. "You're right." he mumbles to himself despite all shame warming his face, "I know that."

"Its been some time since things have been like this, right?" your passive aggressive behaviour is already freaking the boys out. Tachibana, on the other hand, is oblivious to the deathgame going on.
"Nice like what?" Sendou is hesitant to ask but he knows that the other three are a little too scared to respond to you right now. And its all because of the hawk-like look in your eyes, eyeing them as if they're all prey.
"You know," you smile at him, oh so genuinely, "when we're all heading to school without having cuts and bruises. Haha, the morning sure is fresh."
Sendou gulps and looks away.
He did explain you the whole situation the previous day and though it did strike him several times that your reaction from the previous day wasn't complete, he hadn't expected you to do a 180 degree personality shift and start behaving like a serial killer before murder.
"That's right." Tachibana nods. She definitely doesn't know about Kiyomasa and the situation but she isn't blind enough to not see Hanagaki's wounds. "Its good that you all aren't involving yourself in meaningless fights anymore."
