Chapter 15: Uncertainties

"Sorry I'm late. Mr. Bang went overtime again." Jimin said as he sat down beside Jungkook in the cafeteria.

"Lunch time is so much quieter now that there's only the four of us." Ellie commented.

Fay raised her eyebrow at her. "You just miss someone. But I'm sure you're not the one he's missing." She said.

"What are you talking about?" Ellie denied.

She stole a glance at Jungkook who was quietly eating. It's been two weeks since that night at the bar. Nobody confirmed it. But to Ellie's understanding, there is something going on between Taehyung and Jungkook. She got shocked when Taehyung revealed that something happened between them way before. She knew he fancies him. But she always thought that his efforts were because he wanted to fuck him. So she got confused when she learned that he already did. And with the way Jungkook cried that night, he definitely has feelings for him.

Four days after, a video of a drunk Taehyung was posted by one of their schoolmates. He delivered a heartfelt rendition of If You Come Back, wildly shouting "Jungkook, please come back to me" towards the end. It became apparent that the feeling is mutual. They don't seem to be together though. Jimin had already said that the two were already in good terms. But Yoongi and Taehyung stopped having lunch with them. Ellie thought it's because it makes Jungkook uncomfortable with all the gossiping and murmurs going around whenever they are seen together.

"May we sit with you?" Charles asked. He was with Rob.

Jimin wandered his eyes around the table before he nodded his head. They ate in silence for a few minutes. It was weird. They were friends before. But there was a whiff of awkwardness in the air. Jimin was a little suspicious. He's steeling himself for what may come.

"I noticed you don't mingle with Kim Taehyung anymore." Charles said. Jimin waited. Jungkook stilled.

"He finally got what he wanted?" He sneered. Jungkook poked his inner cheek with his tongue.

"Do you have something else to say?" Jimin challenged.

"What's with the mood? We're just asking." Rob said.

"Didn't know you are together." Charles told Jungkook.

"We're not." Jungkook answered.

Charles nodded. "Yet?" He pried. Jungkook did not answer.

"Didn't know you are..." Charles words trailed off

"Gay?" Jungkook asked sternly.

"You are?"

"And if I am?"

Charles laughed. Jungkook raised his eyebrow.

"Hey! No judgement. You be you." Rob assured.

"It's just that..." Charles interrupted. "Are you sure? Kim Taehyung? Half of the school already knows what he looks like...down there."

Jungkook's blood was reaching its boiling point.

"Many people knows he likes it rough. Not just because they heard but because many of them have experienced." He continued. "I'm just saying, are you sure? Someone like him? Someone with that reputation? How do you know he's serious with you?"

"Do not talk about Taehyung like that." Jungkook raised his voice a little. Enough for people near them to hear. Charles blinked. "You don't know him." He continued.

"And you do?"

"You mind your own fucking business." Jungkook blurted.

"Why are you so strung up? Seems like you do like him."
