Namjoon was waiting at the lobby of Paradise Hotel. He didn't actually know what he was waiting for. The end of the fucking world? Maybe. Then, this nightmare wouldn't happen. He was wringing his hands. He can't bring himself to walk towards the function room where the love of his life will vow to be with somebody else forever. I shouldn't have come. He thought. I can't do it.

Namjoon and Seokjin met each other back when they were still in the university. They've become very good friends. And for three years, they thought they were just that. Until Namjoon dated. Seokjin suddenly became distant. He avoided him. At first, Namjoon didn't really understand why. So, he persevered and tried to bridge the gap between him and his dearest friend. They went back to how they were. But one day, Seokjin bared his heart while in a drunken state. Namjoon didn't know what to do with his confession. He didn't feel the same way. So he rejected him when he became sober. That's when their friendship ended and their relationship started. They grew even farther apart after the rejection. Namjoon terribly missed Seokjin and soon realized that he loves him more than just a friend. Nobody ever knew about them though. Except for Taehyung and Yoongi. They were together for four years but he has always been Seokjin's secret. He endured seeing him go on dates and meet ups with many different conglomerate heiresses. He was always there beside him but people only know him as his best friend. He withstood everything hoping that Seokjin will one day have the courage to say who he truly is. But instead, he broke up with him two years ago. When his dad decided that he will marry their childhood friend, the daughter of his long-time business partner.

Namjoon cannot forget the pain and disappointment he felt when Seokjin accepted his father's decision. Sure, it was a business deal and a lavender marriage. But he cannot take being a secret lover anymore. He didn't want to be kept hidden forever. And the bride is his own brother's past girlfriend. So he left because he can't accept the fact that he has to belong to someone else. He wandered for two years, around the world, nursing his broken heart. When he thought he was fine, he finally came home. He thought he has moved on. He thought he's ready to give him up. He thought he'd be willing to stand before him, as his best friend, to honor his wedding. He thought wrong.

"Namjoon hyung!" Jimin caught his attention. "Are you okay? Do you really want to come?"

I have to go was what Namjoon wanted to say.

"Come with us. In his room. If you convince him, he might change his mind." Yoongi said.

There was a flicker of hope that ignited within Namjoon. So he went with them. Yoongi, Jimin and Namjoon entered Seokjin's waiting room. Namjoon saw him, alluring and dashing as usual. He didn't look up. He was dialing on his phone.

"Yoongi, can you please call Taehyung? He's not here yet. He's not answering my calls." Seokjin said. Then, he finally looked up. He met Namjoon's eyes.

"Jin." Namjoon nodded.

"Hey." Seokjin smiled. Then he noticed Jimin. "Hi! You're Jimin? Yoongi's boyfriend?"

Jimin smiled at him. "Nice to meet you hyung. Cong—Good luck on your wedding."

Seokjin smiled timidly. "Thank you."

"I'll call Taehyung now." Yoongi said and signaled for Jimin to come out with him. Jimin followed immediately.

Namjoon didn't know how to start.

"You really came." Seokjin broke the silence.

"Couldn't miss it."

"Thank you...I'm sorry." Seokjin said with a sad smile.

There was a long silence.

"Is there...Are you..." Namjoon struggled, his eyes welled. There was a lump in his throat.
