Jungkook was walking on a near empty street. There were only a handful of cars passing by. He found it difficult to get a taxi so he decided to walk some more until he finds one. He can feel the warm summer air and the occasional breeze on his skin. His sensitive nose detected a sweet, pungent scent. He knew it would rain. But instead of rushing, he settled in a slow and steady pace. It started drizzling. The quiet road was filled with the patter of the rain. Soft at first but turned louder a while later.

He marveled at the sight and sound of the downpour. With his one hand gripping on the umbrella and the other feeling the moisture through his palm, he stood as he felt his weariness and melancholy get washed away. He remembered that one night. He walked on the same street and cried. The sky took pity and wept with him. The rain swept the hurt and the gloom he felt. He was consoled by it. He would have been fine with just that. But it turned out better. Like a miracle, Taehyung appeared before him. He wished he's also with him at the moment.

"Jeon Jungkook!" He heard him call. He must have been missing Taehyung a lot. He's hallucinating.

"Jungkook! Babe!"

He turned and saw Taehyung running towards him. Like that night, he was also soaked. Jungkook ran and met him halfway. He pulled him close under the umbrella.

"I fucking love you." Taehyung said without prelude.

"What happened?" He wondered what caused the random declaration.

"I should have said that when I found you here before. I saw you and you looked exactly like how you were that night. And I felt exactly the same. I should have recognized it then."

Jungkook giggled. "I should have said this before too. I'm so happy you're here. Because I fucking love you."

"Then why were you pretending like you don't like me?!" He snatched the umbrella and threw it on the side.

"Then why were you still flirting with others?!" He continuously smacked his arm and back.

Drenched in the rain but utterly being oblivious to it, they bantered back and forth about all the stupidity they did trying to hide and run away from the feelings they had for each other even from the start. They playfully kicked, spanked and pinched each other. Taehyung blocked Jungkook's attack by grasping his fist and restraining him by his waist. The nearness caused their gaze to fall on each other. Jungkook's fist loosened and in no time, his fingers were interlaced with Taehyung's. Just like how they started, their play fight eventually turned into a slow dance. In the middle of an empty street, they swayed to the sound of the drizzle and the music of their hearts. Jungkook slowly twirled Taehyung around. He went back to his embrace, their foreheads together. A lone car passed the road. Taehyung warily viewed it. But Jungkook stayed focused on him. He's slowly closing the distance.

"People might see." Taehyung reminded him.

"I don't care." He replied. "Do you?"

Taehyung tipped his head to let their lips touch.

...

Jungkook wiped Taehyung's chest and abdomen with the wet shirt he just took off of him. Taehyung reached inside a duffel bag and brought out clothes while the other was cleaning his own thighs. He slot in a shirt around Jungkook's head and pulled it down for him to wear.

"Thanks, babe." He said and gave him a peck on the lips.

Taehyung hopped out of the backseat after dressing. The rain has stopped and it's still dark out. He positioned on the driver's seat.

"I'll drive."

"You're tired, baby." Taehyung presumed.

Jungkook slid into a sweatpants. He bent down to fix the bottom hem and saw Taehyung's phone on the floor. Without bending back up, he swiped his phone unlocked. He went through the notifications and found a message from a Ms. Kim. Thanks for tonight dear. He read.
