"How am I going to go to Hogsmeade?" Shoto asked upon realisation. "My father hasn't signed the permission form.
"And?" Bakugou asked, tearing into some fresh croissants. "I have a few tricks up my sleeve."
"Like what?"
Bakugou grinned before leaning in closer.
"Secret passageways."
"You've found one?!" Shoto exclaimed.
"More like three."
"Where? And how?"
"In second year Dunce Face and Tape Arms broke into Filch's office to snoop around, and get back Mina's Chinese Fortune Sticks. They found something called the Marauder's Map."
"Marauders Map? I've never heard of it."
"Me neither. Apparently it showed them where everyone is in the castle at that exact moment, with footsteps showing whose going where. The idiots wouldn't show it to me, being secretive as shit, but they did share a few secret passageways they managed to find before Filch caught them."
"That's why they got detention for two weeks with Filch. He was really mad at them. So... does one of the secret passageways lead out of Hogwarts and towards Hogsmeade?"
"Mhm. There's one by that creepy One-Eyed Witch statue, the Gunhilda of Gorsemoor. If you say Dissendium the statue moves to reveal a tunnel that takes you to the cellar of Honeydukes. About an hour on foot, so we better head out soon."
Shoto took in the new information whilst taking a sip of tea. It was thrilling to go to Hogsmeade, but also terrifying as he had never broken the rules before. Yet it was Christmas Day, and only a few teachers and students were here, so it was highly unlikely anyone would notice them.
"You in, Halfie?"
"I'm in."
"Then let's go."
Finishing their breakfast they wished Professor Trelawney a good day in passing, hastening their footsteps before she began to fortune tell their futures that were in terrible terrible danger! Once their hats, scarves, gloves, and coats were secure, Bakugou whispered the password and they began the track to Hogsmeade.
"Lumos." Light began to emit from their wands, helping them avoid any stumbles in the crooked passageway.
"You know if I'm caught then I'll be expelled, right?"
"Then we won't get caught." Bakugou stated simply, as if that was all there were too it.
"And how do I not get caught when, as you so like to remind me, I look like a walking candy cane."
"Trust me Halfie, Hogsmeade is gonna be dead so nobody will bat two eyes at you. Okay?" Bakugou tried to sound assuring, even if the plan wasn't 100% fool-proof he was still pretty confident the day would turn out good.
"Okay."
The hour walk went by pretty fast since they walked quickly, both eager to go to Hogsmeade and look around, even if not all of the shops were open. When they reached the door to the cellar, Bakugou carefully undid the latch and pushed it open, checking for signs of people before they both climbed out. The shop was still open, with a few stragglers grabbing last minute gifts before joining their families for the day, so they slipped out without notice. Shoto loved the bright colours and patterns in the shop, the lollipops that floated overhead and a machine that was selling some fluffy pink substance.
They left the shop and a cool breeze met them, but since it was a sunny day it was refreshing rather than biting. Meandering along the snow-covered cobbled streets, Shoto looked at the different shops and signs with a bright intrigue in his eyes, asking the blond about the different stores and his favourite places to go.
