Bakugou was fucked. Absolutely screwed. Died and gone to Hell with a stupid stunned expression on his face. Why?

Shoto fucking Todoroki had come back from winter holidays with a goddamn ear piercing. Fuck.

When they all met up as usual on the Hogwarts Express to come back to school, everyone had something to say or scream about when they saw the diamond jewellery on Shoto's right ear, doing absolutely everything to show just how pretty the soft white locks of hair were on his right side. Fuck.

The school dress code permitted one earring per ear regardless of gender, and so Shoto only received compliments from the Professors, especially from the usually-strict Professor Sinistra of Astronomy, saying it reflected the constellations beautifully when they were star-gazing at midnight.

It also meant that Shoto received more looks than usual when walking to and from classes or the Great Hall, and many people complimented him every minute during their first few weeks back. If it wasn't for Bakugou scowling at students who were staring just a few minutes too fucking long, then they would never make it to class on time.

It didn't help that Pinkie wouldn't stop raising her eyebrows at him stupidly every time she caught him staring at the Gryffindor. What?! Could he not appreciate the fact that his classmate was attractive, looking like he descended from fucking Heaven with his clear pale skin, stupidly different coloured eyes that never seemed to stop sparkling unless his shitty dad was mentioned, just like every other fucking person seemed to do in this goddamn school?!

No. He was entitled to look as much as he damn well pleased, and if his stupid heart sped up a little with every tilt of a dual-coloured head, or the small smile of pink plush lips, then that was absolutely no-one else's fucking business.

Fuck.

When Shoto had spent Christmas with Midoriya and Inko, they took him to the town festival to see the colourful lights and to look at the different stalls of food and presents. It was truly exciting, if not a little overwhelming, and so they had sat down in a small café for coffee and cake, a personal favourite of Inko's. Shoto was just watching the crowds go by, families and couples or individuals rushing for last minute presents, and he noticed several of them were sporting jewellery in their ears.

"What have they put on their ears?" he had asked, gesturing to a group of friends sitting nearby.

"Those are earrings." Inko explained. "They're like jewellery for the ears. You can have hoops, studs, dangly ones or even clip-ons if you're not a fan of needles."

"Needles?"

"They pierce the skin to put the jewellery in." Midoriya clarified, Shoto nodding in understanding.

He looked at the different earrings for some time, and when they passed a shop advertising ear piercing he had asked if he could get his done too. The Midoriyas were more than supportive and they helped him choose out the diamond-looking stud, Shoto deciding to just have one ear pierced to see if he liked it or not.

He took a deep breath when the worker asked him too, and flinched only slightly when he felt the pressure in his earlobe, the jewellery slotting through perfectly. His skin was red when he looked at it in the mirror, but he really liked how the stud seemed to reflect the light with each turn of his head.

Midoriya continuously said it looked good, and he decided to keep it even when they returned to Hogwarts for the new year. He accepted his friends compliments and those of other students when passing in the halls, but he noticed a certain someone always turning their head the other way if they ever made eye-contact.
