It was the time of spring where the King of Midland held his annual hunting party.

You were depraved of seeing your own best friend for the entirety of the winter.

You'd never been so excited to attend such an event just knowing that you'd be reunited.

In all honesty you were quite displeased having been robbed an entire winters worth of your life.

Your mother, being a well known Queen and ally to the King of Midland held a close partnership. With their union throughout the years, you and princess Charlotte had practically grown up together.

You considered her your sister and the two of you would go out of your way just to see each other.

Similar to Charlotte, you were without one parent.. Just like her mother, your father had passed away when you were too young to remember.

This only brought the two of you closer; each understanding the other like the back of one's hand.

Charlotte was utterly admirable in her ways.

She may have been a little shy but she was the definition of a flawless princess. She could deliver an astonishing speech, she could dance a challenging ballroom dance at the drop of a hat, she could even sit and entertain the highest ranking guests with courteous and impressive knowledge..

She were well taught in the manners of a princess..

You on the other hand..

You were quite the wild card.

Perhaps it were the lack of a father that brought out the rebellion in you; regardless you were quite the handful for your mother and the maids.

What some might consider bold and fascinating behavior were only completely mortifying in your mother's eyes.

She envisioned a daughter in which she could pass down the throne to. One made of dignity and grace that could lead forth a nation. A daughter like Charlotte.

It became quite clear that you were defiant; you went about carving your own path to walk. Particularly the path your mother disliked.

You showed little interest in being some submissive princess.

First you'd denied a perfect marriage to a young and charming prince and next;

She'd find out you'd been learning to sword fight! This was enough to worry her heart.

If there were something dangerous it seemed you went right for it.

Once even going so far as to enter some type of dueling contest in front of the public!

"Where someone recognized you!" You could hear her voice screech that last part in your head as you sighed.

Your mother always found ways to shut down your escapades. The only thing you had left were sneaking into town during the nights.

You often dressed yourself down to hide your identity.

It was one particular event that earned you that full winter of what the royals call etiquette bootcamp.
