Y/N
It's been a week since Mr. Urgancıoğlu fired me. That day, I came home and cried for an hour before mom came home. Defne is the only person I have told about what happened. I didn't want to worry mom about me not having a job, so I didn't tell her about my getting fired. I know it's wrong, but I'm hoping to be able to find a new one soon and then I will tell her. For the time being, I told her I took a week off of work in order to explain why I have been home all this time. Everyday, when she leaves to go and visit Aunt Eylul, I sit on the couch and eat my heart away. However, today my peace is broken, when Ms. Yavuz pays me a surprise visit. "I'll tell it to you straight, as I always do; I don't care about you and Kaan's relationship. I only care about you to getting the work at the office completed. Now, speaking of work, Kaan has another investors' meeting in Kayseri this weekend. You will be attending it with him," she informs me. I begin to tell her that I can't because Mr. Urgancıoğlu fired me, but she cuts me off. "And I'm rehiring you for at least the weekend. We will discuss your future with the company afterwards. Do you understand Miss Y/N?," she asks firmly. With no other choice, I nod my head. She continues in a more mallow tone, "Good. Now, the plane leaves at nine tomorrow evening. I expect you to be there at eight forty-five in order for us to get things settled with Kaan before you two take off. I will email you the rest of the itinerary later on today. Do you have any questions?" I shake my head. With that, Ms. Yavuz bids me a good day and leaves. This is going to be one nerve-wracking trip.
The next evening, after telling Defne and mom goodbye, a taxi drives me to the airport. When I arrive, I go to the gate that Ms. Yavuz told me the company plane would be at. Once I get there, I see she and Mr. Urgancıoğlu talking near the plane. With a deep breath I make my way over to them. Ms. Yavuz sees me first and walks up to me. "I've talked with Kaan, and he is aware of you accompanying him to the meeting. So, as long as you focus only on work, you two should get alone fairly well. In one piece at the the least," Ms. Yavuz says while looking over some things on her phone. I reply, "Thank you Ms. Yavuz. I will make sure to focus solely on work while we are away." She nods her head and instructs me to get on the plane. I follow her instructions and continues walking towards the plane. When I enter, there is a bathroom directly in front of me and the seating area to the right. It appears to be bigger than normal commercial airplane seating areas due to the fact that it has only four huge lounge chairs in the area. Past the seating area is another door that leads to a small bedroom. Mr. Urgancıoğlu is sitting in one of the chairs with his gaze fixed on something outside of the window. Hesitantly, I walk down the aisle and sit in the chair across from him. Taking out my phone, I text mom, then Defne, telling them that the plane is about to take off and that I will text them again when it lands. With that, I put my phone on airplane mode, but act as though I am still working on it in an effort to keep from having to handle any awkward silence with Mr. Urgancıoğlu. When the time comes, I put my phone away and buckle up. The one and a half hour flight from Istanbul to Kayseri is spent either looking out the window or down at my feet. Every few minutes, I can feel Mr. Urgancıoğlu's intense gaze on me. Only once, did our eyes accidentally meet, and I instantly regretted it. His dark eyes pierced into mine in a way that made me feel weird. Right when we exited the plan, a limousine picked us up and brought us to a huge house with black case covering the perimeter of the yard. Without even thinking about it, I ask out loud, "Whose place is this?" "Mine," Mr. Urgancıoğlu answers coldly. Remembering that we are in the same vehicle, I sit back in my seat and remain quiet. The driver comes around to my side of the limo and assists me out. Mr. Urgancıoğlu comes around to us and tells the driver thank you. Afterwards, he walks up the steps to the front door. Unlocking it, he walks in and sets the keys down on the side table. The interior of the house is beautiful. Modern, like his house in Istanbul, but on a much larger scale. The best part about this house, is that it has skylights in both the kitchen and living area. I am so focused on looking at everything, that I am slightly startled when Mr. Urgancıoğlu suddenly takes the handle of my suitcase and begins walking up the staircase with it. I quickly follow him, and he leads me to a cozy looking bedroom. A queen size bed, dresser, and bathroom are the only features of the room. However, everything is decorated so beautifully, that I could care a less. Almost everything, from the walls to the furniture are painted dove white. The floors are black, which is a satisfying contrast from the brightness of everything else. "This will be your room for the weekend," Mr. Urgancıoğlu before leaving abruptly. I can understand why he's mad at me, but I wish he would just let me explain myself. Even though, I want to chase him down and tell him everything, it's late. Besides, I always have tomorrow. One way or another, I am determined to explain everything to him before we leave Sunday evening.
