Y/N
Three weeks and five days, that's how long I have been working and living at Mr. Urgancıoğlu's home. It's been as good as can be expected. Mr. Urgancıoğlu has upgraded to giving me my phone for an hour a day, in order for me to call my mom. I'm sure Mr. Urgancıoğlu is still mad at me, even though he now knows that I never had and never will have feelings for Poyhaz. To make matters worse, we have a mandatory meeting with his father today. That is what I am preparing for right now. Mr. Urgancıoğlu is upstairs getting dressed, while I am packing up my tablet materials. As I walk out of the office, I hear Ollie whimpering from the other side of the house. A smile comes across my face as I make my way to the room where he is. The minute I open the door, he runs between my legs and sits down. He then waits for me to pet him. To be honest, Ollie has been one of the only things that help keep me sane in this house. "It's time to go," I hear Mr. Urgancıoğlu say firmly behind me. Straightening my posture, I adjust my skirt, before turning around and walking past him to the front door.
As the car pulls up to his father's house, I am astonished at how big it is. I was prepared for something outlandish, but not to this extent. The driveway splits off into two part and wraps around a huge water fountain, before reconnecting in front of a set of cement stairs. The stairs lead up to the front of the mansion, which is mainly all glass windows. All of it is just breathtaking. Dare I say it is more breathtaking than Mr. Urgancıoğlu's home? "Kaan, my boy. I wasn't sure if you would still be coming today," Mr. Urgancıoğlu's father says in a cheery tone, as he skips down the set of stairs. I look over to Mr. Urgancıoğlu and see the fire building up in his eyes. He becomes a completely different person when he is around his father, and it scares me. "The meetings are mandatory father. How could I not come?", Mr. Urgancıoğlu asks coyly. His father smirks, before turning towards me and saying, "I see you have brought your lovely assistant. Hello again dear." My insides knot up at the thought of what emotions are rushing through Mr. Urgancıoğlu's veins. Just then, a lady walks out of the house and calls out to us. She is a fairly young lady, who couldn't be more than ten years my senior. "Aslan, you didn't tell me Kaan was coming over today," she says, as she rushes over to give Mr. Urgancıoğlu a hug. He doesn't seem to appreciate the affection and barely even hugs the lady back. "He came to talk over some business Elif," Mr. Aslan remarks. She looks over at me in a sly manner, before running her hand up Mr. Aslan's arm, and whispering something into his ear. Afterwards, she heads back up the steps and into the house. "Alright Kaan...why don't you and Miss Y/N follow me to my office. As we enter the house, I am taken aback by how decked out it is. Chandeliers hang from almost every ceiling, fancy red carpets cover the steps of the spiraling staircase, and abstract art decorates every room. To be honest though, I prefer the simplicity of Mr. Urgancıoğlu's home. After we are seated in Mr. Aslan's office, I begin to take out all of my supplies. With a big exhale, Mr. Aslan asks, "So how have things been going with our investors?" Mr. Urgancıoğlu looks over to me as he replies, "The investors from America seem to be having issues with their oil rigs. However, our more local investors are at an all time high." Mr. Aslan nods in satisfaction at Mr. Urgancıoğlu's words. "What do you suggest we do about the Americans? Outports with no imports only causes our company to loose money," Mr. Aslan says as he reclines further into his seat. "It's not my place to make that decision," Mr. Urgancıoğlu says bluntly. Discouragement comes across Mr. Aslan as he sits forward and slams his hand on the coffee table between us. "Darn it you Kaan. Why can't you just answer the question?!," Mr. Aslan asks loudly.
Mr. Urgancıoğlu
My father never fails to sends surges of anger through me. I know darn well why he wants me to make a decision that otherwise he would usually make. Things are about to get really heated, and I don't want Y/N to be subjugated to it. Keeping my eyes glued to my father, I command Y/N to leave the room. She doesn't hesitate to follow my instructions; something I wish she would do all the time. Once she closes the door behind her, my father asks, "Now that she is gone, why don't you answer my question?" I sigh deeply and reply, "I'm happy where I am at in the company, and I don't want to be promoted to your position. Not because I think I am incapable, but simplicity because I want to have a life outside of work. When mom was alive, and even when she died, you continued to work all the time." "I worked to support the two of you," he boomed. I snap back, "You worked because all you cared and still care about it money." I suddenly feel my father's hand come in contact with my face at a rapid speed. My blood is boiling and I use every but of self restraint I have to not lunge at him. "I quit. On you, the company, and this life," I state. A smirk comes across his face as he replies slyly, "Have toy forgotten that you signed and seven year contract to work at the company? If i remember correctly, you still have a year and a half of that time to complete." I clench my fists and tell him, "It can't come soon enough. Good day to you Mr. Aslan." Without even letting him form a reply, I leave the office and slam the door shut behind me. As I walk up to Y/N, I see Elif say something to her, then walk away. I want to know what that tramp told her, but first, I want to get out of this place. I grab Y/N'a arm and pull her out the door and back to the car. Calmness comes over me as the car pulls out of my father's property and back onto the main road.
