Y/N
Finally the weekend has come and I can enjoy the wonderful summer weather. I usually am one who hates heat and everything that comes along with it. However, the office is always so cold that you could swear it's a mortuary. So, a day in the sun will do me some good. When I go down to the kitchen, I see a note stuck on the fridge.
"I am headed to the market for some supplies. After that, I'm going to meet up with Aunt Eylul, so don't worry about waiting for me to return. See you later on today my dear.
Mom
I smile as I read the note. Writing little messages for one another has been a thing mom and I have done since I was only enough to read. After a while I contemplating, I finally decide to skip eating breakfast so that way I can have a fat and calorie filled lunch. My self-confidence when it comes to my body image lacks tremendously. All of my friends and family tell me that my figure is perfect and if anything is to small. However, when I look into the mirror, I see a wide body frame with no torso definition whatsoever. For this reason, I usually skip breakfast, eat a hardy lunch, and stick with very light suppers. One of my favorite things to eat for supper that is gentle on the digestive system is what I like to call strawberry cereal. Basically, it's fresh, sliced, strawberries, mixed with granola, and topped with milk. After daydreaming about my meal plan, I head back upstairs and change. I settle on a flowy green and blue skirt, along with a deep red halter top blouse. For my hair, I simple pull it up into a messy bun and call it a day. I put on my brown sandals in order to complete the look, then head out of the house. Since mom took the car to the market, I have to opt for public transportation in order to get to my destination. Because today is so beautiful, I decided to go to the park. After walking to the subway station a few blocks away, I finally head towards my destination. When the subway stops at my station, I get out and walk towards a ice cream vendor and order a caramel cookie crunch ice cream cup. I don't get ice cream often, but when I do, caramel cookie crunch is my favorite. Once I get my ice cream cup, I walk a few more blocks away from the station and sit on one of the park benches. I slump down on the back of the bench and enjoy the creaminess of the ice cream along with the crunchiness of the cookie pieces. As I am literally about to escape to a world of cookies n' cream, my phone begins to ring. Groaning in frustration, I fumble for my phone on the bench while I stay slumped back with my eyes closed. "Hello," I say in a slightly irritated tone. "Y/N it's Ms. Yavuz. I know it's the weekend, but I just need you to go to the office and give me the number of one of our investors. Call me again when you arrive and I'll tell you where to find the number," she requests. I tell her I will head there right away and she thanks me. Over the last few weeks, Ms. Yavuz and I have gotten a bit closer. Her voice is not as forceful and her gaze not as intense. Luckily the office is just the next city over from where I'm at. So, I hop onto the next subway headed there and make my way to the office. When I arrive, there are only a few other people there. As I enter the elevator, I take out my phone and call Ms. Yavuz. After about two rings, she answers. I tell her I have arrived and she instructs me to go to Mr. Urgancıoğlu's office. As I walk in, a wave of anxiousness hits me. I rarely ever go into Mr. Urgancıoğlu's office and even when I do, Mr. Urgancıoğlu is always there. "Ok Ms. Yavuz, I'm in the office," I tell her. "Great, now in the drawer to the left of his desk there should be a yellow sticky note with the name and number of a company named Chester Field Corp. Could you please tell me the number?," She asks. I give her the number, then hang up my phone and place the note back neatly into the drawer. As I try to close it again, it sticks, so I squat down in order to check the wheels and track the drawer opens and closes with. While I am working to get it closed, I hear the door of the office shut abruptly. Startled, I slowly look over the desk and see Mr. Urgancıoğlu looking at me with a undescribable expression. Feeling slightly embarrassed, I stand up and begin explaining myself before he even asks. The left corner of his lips curl up slightly into a smirk. There is something about his smirk that makes his aura seems more gentle. He walks up to me and my gaze freezes on him. "If you are done with rummaging through my desk, then would you like to join me for lunch?," he asks while looking back deeply into my eyes. My throat feels dry and I feel as thought my heart is about to jump out. I manage to respond, "You just won't give up on getting me to eat with you." He gives me a big smile and replies, "I'm a very persistent man and don't like to be rejected." I snicker at his comment, and after looking at him a while longer, I finally concede to eating the lunch with him.
