Mary wasn't even sure where to start when it came to this, what was she supposed to say? You were abandoned so we took you in. That was a horrible thing to say to anyone let alone a sixteen-year-old, it was why Mary and John both decided never to say anything. Since everything Dean knew would come crumbling down onto him, so to spare him that pain, they just refused to cause it.

"Mom, what is going on?" Dean asked. She didn't say anything and still choked up on her words. "Dad?"

"There isn't any easy way to say this son, to either of you," John explained. "And we don't like it but we can't avoid it anywhere."

"Dad, can you please just tell us," Sam said. "Dean got attacked and we need to know why is someone after us?"

"Not us Sam," Mary finally said. "Your brother, we didn't think this would ever happen and we don't know why they are," she continued. "But before we figure out where that lady came from, we need to know everything she said." Dean remained absolutely silent taking everything in. All he can think about is what happened to him years ago and the fact that his parents haven't even gotten any further than that. Especially since he didn't know how to react.

"We've told you everything that she said to us," Dean said. "All she said was to ask you, so what gives? What are you hiding from us?"

"Dean," John said. "Sixteen years ago, I was hiking in the forest when I heard a baby crying in an abandoned cabin. I went to go and see what all the fuss was about and discovered the infant lying in a dirty crib, his mother was nowhere to be found," he explained. "I picked the child up and something fell from the blanket," John walked over to the cupboard and opened the drawers, he ruffled through it and pulled out a golden bracelet with a small locket attached to it. Dean sat on the edge of his seat wondering what his father was talking about. John walked back over to the couch and handed it over to Dean. "That child was you, Dean."

Dean looked at the small locket and stood from the couch. He didn't want to believe that he was the baby that his mother abandoned in the forest.

"That's impossible, why would my mother even abandon me in the first place?"

"We aren't sure Dean, but all we know is that it has something to do with that woman you saw."

"She had some sort of symbol tattooed on her arm," Sam said, remembering something that he saw on the woman's arm. "It looked like a star surrounded by a flame." Dean was about to say something when he saw a nervous look on their faces.

"Dean, go to your room." John said.

"But!"

"Don't argue with me, go to your room, we'll talk to you later right now we need to speak with Sam alone." Frowning, Dean walked out of the living room and made his way to his bedroom.

Sam didn't know whether to yell at his parents or claim that they were telling the truth. The very thought that his father found Dean abandoned in a cradle was saying so much and he was surprised that someone left his brother there like he was nothing.

"Sam, what we're about to tell you could mean that your brother would be in danger." John said.

"But dad! What are you talking about? Who are those people?"

"That woman you saw was part of an organization called the British men of letters," Mary explained. "Our guess is that Dean's biological mother was a British woman of letters, and somewhere along that line did she become pregnant with Dean, now whoever Dean's father is, is after him."

"But why kill Dean?"

"Because British men of letters aren't supposed to have children." John chimed in.

Dean lay on his bed trying not to think about the things that practically just hit him like a rock. Everything that he thought he knew and the family that he thought was truly his, now told him that he was in fact adopted and to top it off, he was abandoned in the forest like someone didn't want him in the first place. He closed his eyes and tried not to think about it, but that thought was completely gone when his phone went off. He jumped in fright and reached over to grab his iphone, when he saw that an unknown number was trying to video chat him, he immediately hung up and ignored it but the phone kept ringing. Angry, he answered the video chat only for a man to appear on the other side.

"Who the fuck are you? And how did you get this number?" Dean asked. The man didn't answer, he just stared at Dean like he was observing him. Eventually the man cleared his throat and whispered a few words.

"Nothing is real." The man ended it there leaving Dean confused and afraid. Dean's stomach turned as he tossed his phone to the foot of his bed. He got off and backed away, whoever that man was it really did bother him, it was like the man purposely did that to him so he'd be afraid.

"This is getting scary!" Dean yelled to no one in particular. Not only did someone try to kill him but now the stranger was calling him and saying strange words. "What the hell is going on?" For about an hour Dean stayed in his room and stared out the window his thoughts continuously moved from thought to thought. Dean was sitting at his bay window deep in thought when his door opened and Sam entered the room.

"De? Are you okay?" Sam asked.

"Not really," Dean responded. "Mom and Dad chose now to mention that I was abandoned." and now some creepy crazy asshole was trying to get his attention and scare the daylights out of him.

"Are you angry at them?" Sam asked. Dean didn't answer, his mind was fogged up with all the confusion and hundreds of other emotions he was feeling, he was actually finding it hard to breathe. "Dean, please talk to me!" Sam exclaimed.

"I'm leaving." Dean said suddenly. He didn't want to do that, not to the people who took him in or his brother. But he had a feeling that his birth father would never stop hunting him until he was dead. So every minute his family was around him, he was putting them in danger.

"Dean I know this is hard but you can't..." Sam was cut off.

"This isn't about that," Dean said. "I can't explain it," he continued. "I just need time to figure everything out."

"Dean we are your family, and you can't just throw us away like this!" Sam exclaimed. Dean said nothing, only turning away from his brother deeply hurt that Sam would say such a thing. "You're making a mistake."

"I'm not making any sort of mistake Sam," Dean said. "I get that your trying to protect me, but if that dumb broad and my biological father are out there then they wont rest until I'm dead or anyone in this family are dead." Dean finished packing his bag with clothes and enough food before walking out of his room.
