Because of Dean's reaction, Bobby was hesitant to let Dean read the journal, however, he did want Dean to understand that he could choose who to be.

"I'm sorry about all this kid," Bobby said. "But you should know that you can choose who to be, no matter who your parents are, I know that for a fact." Dean wondered what Bobby meant but decided not to ask out of respect for Bobby's privacy. He knew that Bobby had lost his wife but he didn't know much else about him. Dean coughed from all the dust as he opened the journal and flipped through the yellowed pages.

After everything that happened, Ketch still won't leave me alone. Things have been quite hectic around here, I'll start it and explain as much as I can because if I can't get these words out then Ketch would find out the hard way, I just hope that everything won't get worse.

Dean read through and noticed the way the sentences were formed, they were rushed as if his mother was trying to speed things up in fear that Ketch would find out some big secret. He continued to read through it and learned that Ketch had a thing for a lot of pretty women, and a few of them he had one-night stands with. But another sentence stood out to him. In his mother's scrawled handwriting.

I was raped, and it's been a week already, I haven't had my cycle in a while, only to find out that I was pregnant.

Dean still didn't like knowing that he was the result of rape and worried that would have been the reason that he was abandoned by his mother. Dean read on learning more and more about the men of letters and how Ketch treated the women. As he read on, he found out that the men of letters didn't want to have children since that would put their life on the line. He landed on the last entry in the journal dated the day that he was abandoned.

Can't let Ketch get to Dean if he gets Dean or any child he could use them for his own personal gain or worse kill them. I overheard what he was going to do, if he couldn't kill Dean, he'd try getting Dean to trust him when he's older. If that happens, controlling him would be inevitable. I just hope that someone would be kind enough to take him in and raise him as their own without him getting exposed to hunting or to the men of letters. But...

The entry stopped there Dean searched the entire book in case he missed something but to no avail, that was the last entry in the journal. Dean was so shocked by what she wrote that he considered throwing the journal against the wall. He had so many raging emotions running through him right now, and maybe it would make him feel better to just break something. But he didn't have the energy to do that, so he cried instead letting everything he was holding in come out.

"Oh, Dean," Bobby said, expecting that reaction from him eventually. Dean didn't say anything, he just cried, wanting this all to be a dream. "Listen to me boy, everything happens for a reason," Bobby sat down next to Dean and hugged him, he understood where Dean was coming from. Everything had been happening to him way so fast that it was hitting him like a storm. "You can stay here for as long as you want, I have a spare bedroom in the back, I've got to go out and get some groceries, I'll be back," Bobby said. "Just stay in the house, with Ketch knowing you're alive he's not going to stop until he tracks you." Dean pulled away as Bobby got up from the couch and walked over to his desk to grab his wallet and keys. With that, he walked out of the house. Dean was exhausted from all the crying to a point where rather than going to the spare bedroom he laid down on the couch and fell asleep instantly.

Not long after Dean fell asleep did someone start knocking on the door. Dean groaned and rolled off the couch and onto the floor before getting up and making his way over to the front door. He couldn't quite remember what happened between him passing out from crying and Bobby leaving. Yawning, Dean pulled the front door open and saw a man with slick back brown hair and he was dressed in a nice blue suit.

"Who are you?" Dean asked. The man smiled at him and for a second he thought that maybe he was dreaming, he rubbed his eyes but the man was still there.

"Surely you don't need me to tell you that Dean," he responded. "It's nice to finally see you after all these years." Dean backed away from Ketch. He couldn't figure out how he was able to find him but there was no way he was going to let Ketch hurt him.

"Stay away from me you dick!" Dean yelled.

"Oh there is no need for that," Ketch responded, chuckling a bit. "I didn't come to fight, I came to talk." Ketch stepped inside and walked toward Dean who suddenly found himself against the wall.

"Right," Dean said and punched Ketch in the face causing him to stumble and giving Dean the chance to get away from him. "That was for my mother, you son of a bitch!"

"You're going to wish you hadn't done that." Ketch responded, recovering quickly from Dean's blow and was tempted to kill him right there, but kept his cool since he was trained to go after adults, not children. Seeing his chance Dean took off into the opposite bedroom and slammed the door shut locking it, he searched for some sort of weapon and noticed an umbrella in the corner he grabbed the umbrella and hid by the door. Ketch sprinted after him believing that his son wouldn't put up much of a fight, he checked all the doors and when they all turned up locked, Ketch resorted to breaking them down.

"Come on Dean, you can't defy me, I'm your father!" Ketch exclaimed, he walked toward the bedroom door that Dean was hiding behind and kicked the door down. Immediately Dean tried to hit his father over the head with the umbrella but Ketch was quicker and grabbed the umbrella, ripping it out of Dean's hands and causing Dean to fall back. "I'm going to have to punish you rather severely for this son."

"I am not your son!" Dean yelled and backed away from him. "You will never be my father! Not after what you did to my mother! She abandoned me because of you!" Ketch completely ignored that comment and forced Dean to stand up so he could drag the teen away, to muffle his protests Ketch sprained Dean's wrist and threatened to do worse if Dean screamed. They were in the middle of a car junkyard, Dean struggled trying to break free as much as he could but Ketch was stronger than him and he panicked as Ketch kept a tight grip on Dean's wrist and slid open the white van, he shoved Dean inside and reached into a nearby bag pulling out zip ties. He tied Dean's wrists together and made sure that the zip ties were tight then placed a gag over his son's mouth before slamming the van door shut and climbing into the driver's seat. He started up the car and pulled away from Bobby's junkyard heading for his house.

Sam felt empty, it wasn't a feeling that he thought he would ever feel, simply because he thought that Dean would never leave him. He understood that Dean needed space because of what was going on, but why wasn't Dean letting him help? Dean had always let him help in the past, so why was this time different? He didn't know how long he stayed in his bed trying not to cry but eventually, he cried himself to sleep, not long after that he had this horrible dream of his brother being locked in a room with a gag over his mouth, a shadow was standing over him and Dean screamed for help.

Sam screamed himself as he woke up, he struggled to swallow as he regained his breath trying to steady his beating heart. His face felt sweaty even though his sheets were cold and damp from all his crying. "I have to go find Dean!" Sam exclaimed.
