Zayn and Louis were by Liam's bed when his eyes opened, Zayn was smiling and holding Liam's hand and Louis cheered quietly and clapped

It was all so quiet, like they didn't want to cause Liam any more harm, but eventually, Louis left

But Zayn stayed, he stayed awake, and he stayed by Liam's side

Zayn wasn't allowed inside the house, but he was there. He stood, waiting to see a sign of Liam

But when he saw him, his eyes were closed, and blood was splattered on his face, and bruises covered his neck

Zayn didn't realise how terrified he was, he didn't realise the fear that stayed in his bones

On the drive to the hospital, he was rushing, inside the hospital, he stood outside the door

He eventually called Louis, who immediately dropped everything and rushed over

He stayed by Zayn's side, like he always has.

Zayn sat quietly, looking at Liam before he picked up Liam's hand, and kissed his knuckles

A few days later....

Niall and Harry ran into the hospital, and towards the receptionist

"LIAM PAYNE" they said at the exact same time, her eyes widened and she looked between them

She opened and closed her mouth before she whispered something into the phone then put it down

"Excuse me?"

"There was a patient here, with the name of Liam James Payne, he was brought in a few days ago"

She furrowed her brows "Weren't you informed by Liam's family?"

Niall threw his hands up "WE ARE HIS FAMILY!!"

Harry slapped a hand on Niall's mouth "I'm sorry about him, we are just worried, what's wrong with Liam? Is he Ok?"

The receptionist slowly nodded "Yes... He's fine, but he was released this morning"

Harry's jaw dropped and Niall's eyes widened

"W-what do you mean he was released?" Harry forced out "Who took him?"

The receptionist gave them a small sad smile "Im sorry, I'm not allowed to disclose that"

Liam laughed while looking out the window, Zayn smiled

"Relax now, don't hurt yourself"

Liam nodded "I won't" He said, but kept his eyes out the side of the helicopter

Zayn put a hand on Liam's forehead and forced him to sit back

"Relax, ok" He said, the words echoing onto the headphones that Liam was wearing

Liam nodded, resting his head back and looking out the window "I'm just happy"

Zayn smiled "I'm glad"

They landed and their bags were quickly taken, Liam intertwined his fingers with Zayn's and looked at him

"For how long will we be here?"

Zayn looked at Liam "A week, you have a sick-leave for a week and it got the stamp of approval from hour uni"

"So... I won't fail my finals?"

Zayn shook his head "Due to your injuries, you'll miss 2 of your finals but you'll do them later on"
