Liam walked into the coffee shop and looked around until he spotted Louis

He walked towards him and sat down across from him

Louis slid a to-go cup towards Liam who caught it

"Drink, you look like you got told if you sleep you'll be taken to meet death"

Liam cursed Louis under his breath then took a sip, his shoulders immediately relaxed when he was hit with the taste of chamomile

He slowly lowered the cup and looked at Louis "He know..."

Louis gave Liam a sad smile "No matter what you believe Liam, Zayn isn't a monster, he's the greatest person in this world" He forced a laugh "Just don't tell Harry I said that..."

Liam forced a smile and shook his head "I won't" his smile fell and he looked at his hands "I didn't mean it... When I called him a monster" He frowned and furrowed his brows "All I could think about is-"

"The amount of times you were hurt for no reason"

Liam quickly looked up and met Louis' eyes "Yeah..."

"And your father probably said he has a reason to hurt you, yet whatever it was wasn't your fault"

Liam nodded "How?" He whispered

Louis shrugged then leaned ahead "I don't go to hospitals much, I usually wrap myself up at home"

Liam frowned "Pain meds?"

Louis winked "Don't need 'em" Liam's eyebrows shot up "Anyways, I've been to the hospital for 2 people, You-"

"And Zayn"

"Yay sunshine, you figured it out" Liam chuckled "Zayn doesn't talk about what happened to him, he hates past memories of what happened to him, he'd rather force it to stay in his own head for eternity than speak of what happened to him"

Liam slowly nodded and Louis continued

"I can't tell you more than I already have, he doesn't want you to force yourself to talk to him" Liam sighed and nodded "But here's one thing I can tell you"

Liam frantically nodded

"From 10 people, only 2 are left, and he left the worst for last"

Valentines day, probably the most depressing day of the whole year for people like Liam

He thought a few days ago was bad, but it's absolutely horrible today

Even their teachers gave them the day off because in they'd like to spend them with their spouces

Liam was about to walk into the park when he stopped, shook his head and ran the other way

The bellman smiled "Oh Liam!! Haven't seen you in a while!!"

Liam shrugged with a small smile "It's alright" He cleared his throat "Do you have any idea if Zayn is here?"

Seths smile immediately fell "Pardon?"

Liam ran his fingers through his hair "Any idea if Zayn is in?"

Seth opened and closed his mouth "No... He actually just ran out"

Liam frowned "Any idea where he left to?"

Seth blinked while looking at Liam "I'm genuinely hoping this is a joke, Liam, because Zayn said he-" he rubbed the back of his neck
