Liam stuck by Zayn's side during the funeral, he held him every night and comforted him as much as he could

Louis was with them every single day, even though Zayn didn't move from the bed, Louis was always there

He cleaned around, brought them food, took care of almost everything

One day, Liam had to send an email to his professors so he asked Louis to stay with Zayn

Zayn refused to let Liam's hand go, Liam kissed his forehead and Zayn squeezed his eyes

"I'll be right back, love. I'll be back before you even realise I'm not here"

Zayn slowly nodded and let Liam go, Liam quickly rushed downstairs and opened his laptop

He knew telling his professors that his boyfriends sister died  wouldn't give a fuck

So he took a deep breath and typed out the best thing he could, he called her his future sister-in-law

He clicked send then rushed upstairs, he walked into the room and saw Louis laying on the bed quietly talking to Zayn

They both looked at Liam when he walked in and Liam smiled

Zayn patted the area between him and Louis, Liam didn't think twice before appealing to Zayn's silent request

Zayn wrapped his arms around Liam and pulled him closer, and Liam wrapped his arms around Zayn's neck

Zayn rubbed his nose against Liam's temple "Don't leave me" Zayn whispered, loud enough for Liam and Louis to hear

"We won't" Liam said, then looked over his shoulder at Louis "Right, Lou?"

Louis smiled "Yeah, you're stuck with us"

After Louis left, Liam laid on his back and Zayn was laying beside him, silently rubbing his thumb on Liam's wrist

"Zayn"

"Hmm??"

"Tell me about your family" Liam said, pushing a loose strand away from Zayn's face

Zayn looked at Liam "You really want to know?"

Liam nodded, Zayn brought Liam's wrist to his lips and kissed the area he was rubbing

"My father said he loved my mother from the second he saw her" Liam smiled and nodded "Which is slightly weird, because he was engaged to someone else before"

Liam's eyes widened "No"

Zayn nodded "Yeah, he was" He traced Liam's cheek "He broke off the engagement, because he knew it would be wrong, but my mother still said no"

Liam smiled "When did they get together?"

"4 years after" Liam's eyes widened and Zayn nodded "My father waited, he said he'll keep waiting for her until she came to him" Liam nodded "They got married 6 months later, had my sister a year after, me 3 years after my sister"

Liam nodded "Were you close?"

He got a shrug in reply "I was 15 when they passed away... I was loved by them, but I don't know if I'd label that as close... I wish I could though..."

Liam kissed Zayn's forehead and he got a weak smile in return, Zayn hid his face in Liam's shoulder and Liam held onto him tightly

"I'm so sorry" Liam whispered

Zayn shook his head, and held onto Liam tighter

Liam looked at Zayn, who was asleep, Liam rubbed his thumb against Zayn's eyebrows before he pulled away and picked Zayn's phone up

He stepped into the bathroom and called Louis

"Hey Lou, I need your help with something..."

When Zayn woke up a few hours later, he frowned not feeling Liam beside him

He hesitantly sat up and walked out of the room, calling out his boyfriends name before he heard a 'Here'

He walked down the stairs and towards the sitting area where Liam stood

Zayn frowned "Where did you go?"

Liam smiled "I called in a little help from our favourite angel, and he came and helped"

Zayn looked more confused now than he did earlier, Liam took Zayn's hands and lead him towards the couch then sat down beside him

Liam picked up a remote and pressed play but instead of looking at the TV, he focused on Zayn

"Home videos, of the Malik's... Are there any?"

"Of course there are, how many do you need?"

"I don't know..."

"Ok, all of them will do I guess"

Zayn watched with slightly wide eyes, and mouth slightly open, his sisters first steps, her first birthday, her first day of school, her first trip on a plane, her first time camping, and being told she was gonna be an older sister

Then the family of 3 turned to a family of 4, Zayn laughed for the first time in a week

Liam smiled watching him with his head dropped against the couch

Laying upside down in one of the videos with his eyes closed and his mouth open

Liam didn't know if he was asleep or playing dead

The videos kept going until Zayn's 15th birthday, where Zayn took a handful of cake and wiped it across his sisters face before he ran off

She gasped then took another handful of cake and ran after him as he ran into the woods behind his house

The camera turned towards their mother as she smiled and shook her head

"I'll take this over them hating everything about each other"

Then the camera cut, the sun had come up but they didn't move

Zayn turned to Liam and smiled, Liam smiled back and laughed as Zayn pulled him closer

Zayn kissed all over Liam's face saying 'Thank you' over and over again, not giving Liam a chance to say anything before Zayn pressed a kiss on his lips

"Thank you, I love you"

Liam didn't hesitate, he doesn't think he ever will when it comes to his boyfriend

"I love you too" Liam said rubbing Zayn's cheeks "I always will"

Zayn took Liam's hand into his and kissed Liam's forehead then Liam's temple
