Chapter 10

Steven and Carl left already after the announcement. Looks like they already knew about Benedict's proposal as they just waited for it and said their goodbyes to us. Steven just told me he wants to bring me home but Sven told him he's the one who brought me here so he'll be the one to bring me home.

Steven just laughed at it and whispered to me "I told you so." And he winked at then he left.

I was left speechless and did not know what he meant for that.

I heard Sven's saying goodbye. "Mom, Dad we're going now. I'll bring Fran to her home"

"Wait are you sure you can drive? You can stay here for tonight besides Hestia will stay too." Mr. Somers suggested.

"Yeah please stay for tonight Bro."

"I'm sorry Dad, Bro but I can't and I can still drive plus I have work tomorrow and I think Fran also, right?" He look at me as if he wants me to agree with him. Well I will absolutely agree on it as this place was far from my place, and I need to go for work early.

"I have to agree with Sven, Uncle. I also need to come at work by early morning tomorrow. I'm sorry but I'll make it up next time."

"Oh, I'll just go then to your apartment Cesca after my class." Hestia said. As much as I wanted to stay with her and celebrate this moment of hers. But I know Ben and her will need more moments tonight.

"Okay then. Just be careful Sven on driving. Fran still have to find a partner." Mr. Somer joke.

I laughed. "Uncle I'm not interested."

"Oh come on Fran you're not getting any younger. After your sister's wedding you should get yourself a partner too. I have nephews who's still a bachelor. I'll introduce them to you."

"That's a good Idea Dad." Benedict second that motion.

My sister laughed, "Oh Uncle, Babe that won't be necessary."

"Why?" Ben and Mr. Somer asked in chorus.

Mr. Somer look at me, "Do you have a boyfriend Fran?"

"No Uncle I don't have." I look at Hestia. "What are you saying sis?"

She shrugged her shoulders and lean to Benedict. "Nothing" and she just smiled at mischievously.

Sven just smirked. "Oh come one Dad, we'll get going and it's late already. Tell Mom we left and Fran's with me." Mrs. Somer got drunk that's why she slept early. And I'm a little tipsy too.

I hugged Hestia. "Congrats again sis." I kissed her.

I hugged Benedict, "Congrats, and please do take care of her."

"I will I always will."

"Bro take care huh and drive safely."

"I will. Bye."

"Bye Uncle."

"Take Care guys."

And then we left. I got in his car. And he also got in.

After several minutes we're already on our way home.

Silence.

"Can I turn the music on?" I asked.

"As you wish." Without even looking at me. I turned the music.

"Can you still drink?" He asked and I look at him his eyes still on the road.

"Why?" He look at me and look at the road again.

"Nothing, I still want to drink but I want some company. If you don't want its fine."

I stared at him intently, I think he really needs someone to talk to.

"Its fine with me I can still manage"

He make a turn, "Then we'll go to my place if it's okay with you?"

"Yeah that would be fine. It's not possible to my place too as my friend is there and she might be writing her novel and she don't want to be disturbed when she's writing her novel."

"Then it settled. My place then." And he continue to drive.

And I just silently humming to the songs on his player.
