I'm on my way to the hospital, passing all the red light and speed limit,I don't care about the tickets or getting arrested all I care about is my son, nothing else.
I just received a call from his nanny,his has been taken to the hospital . She says he got pushed down by a boy at the park, nobody is at home now. Giovanni has gone back to college and mom and gone back to Spain,I can't the nanny with him for long.
Finally I arrive at the hospital and immediately run inside. Once I get to the reception I saw Lizzy the nanny sitting there waiting for me. I immediately run to her,
"What happened?Is my baby okay?"I ask worriedly and before she could answer the doctor comes outside.
"Which one of you is his mom?"he asks
"It is me doc,how is my son?"I ask
"He is fine Mrs Miller. He just fractured his arm but it will be fine. The cast will be removed once the arm has healed"he explains and I sigh in relief.
The doctor says he can leave today,so I made all the payments and he was discharged. I had to carry him because he was sleeping.
"I'm sorry Miss Garcia"Lizzy apologizes
"Don't worry Lizzy,it is fine "I tell her and we head home. .................... It has been a three since Franco broke his arms,so I've taken sometime off work to personally take care of him.
But I still work from home but not today,I'm meeting a client, well the person said he wanted to personally meet me.
I couldn't refuse because it was big business deal and it could help with the firm.
Lizzy is already here I'm ready to leave. I wore a simple strapless jumpsuit and some black heels.
"I'll be right back baby. Don't give Lizzy a hard time okay"I tell Franco who was busily watching his paw patrol and not eating his food.
"Okay mummy. I love you" he replies waving at me.
"See you later Lizzy"I tell her
"Have a good day miss Carlotta"she says before going back to feed Franco his strawberry bread pudding. .................
After driving 30minutes I arrive at the restaurant the meeting is being held. It is an expensive one, this man would rich,I thought before entering.
I see my personal assistant and secretary already there waiting for me, well I am early.
"Good morning Miss Garcia. Mr. Bennett would be with you shortly"my assistant says before pulling my chair out for me.
After some minutes of waiting,I hear foot steps approaching us and I look up to see the person I never wanted to meet in my life.
I immediately stand up and balled up my fist.
He approaches with a smirk but it immediately drops when he see my face.
Understand all the brown contact lense and pixie haircut,I still look like the old me.
He stops s few feet away from me before, looking deep into my eyes. I raised an eyebrow at him,
"Amelia"I hear him whisper softly
"Fuck Amelia,I miss you so much "he says and tries to hug but I put my hands Infront stoping before he comes any closer. Now everyone is wondering, what the fuck is going here!
"Language Mr. Bennett,I'm Carlotta Garcia"I say not using his real name
"I know it is you Amelia, nobody would ever forget the beautiful face of yours"he says
"I can see you not ready to talk about business. We are done here because some of us have important things to do"I say grabbing my purse ready to leave,
"Okay, okay let's talk about business"he says and gesturing for me to have a seat
I sit down and the waitress comes over for our orders. I ordered for only a glass of water.
"You look good Amelia"he suddenly says out of the blue
"I wouldn't say same about you. My name is Carlotta Garcia not Amelia"I say in a rude manner.
He deserves it.
"Look I just wanted to apologize for everything I have done you. I have searching for you for a long time ago. It is a relief I have found you"he says and I let out chuckle
"Apologize, for everything. As in what?No amount of apology can make up all the hurt and misery I went through. Can your apologize bring my dad back. No. So don't get me started on apology okay."I hiss at him.
I'm trying here,I really don't want to get angry.
"I Know and I don't want else to do, nothing I will say or do will help you but I want to make up to you. I'll do anything "he says with a pleading tone.
"Anything you say. Like I said nothing can make me forgive you Nikolas. Are we done with the meeting here,if this is why we are here I would like to take my leave now. I have something better to do at home"I say and I'm about to stand up when he holds my hand
I immediately pull my hand and glare at him .
"Is he is mine?"he says and my heart begin to race fast,I decide to play dump
"Who are you talking about?I don't who you are talking about?"I say
"You know who I am talking about Amelia,don't act dump with me"he insists
"I still don't get you. I don't know who you are talking about"I say
"Is Franco my son?"he asks almost raising his voice and when I didn't answer him,he got his answer.
"Why didn't you tell me?"he whispers and I can see people are looking at us
"I'm not doing this with you. On second thought,I don't what to have any deal with you"I say and walk pass him.
He suddenly grabs my arm and pull me back. I yank my arm from his hold and glare at him
"I want to meet him"he says
"You already have and stay away from him. Also touch me again and you'll regret it."I say and walk pass him not wanting to hear anything he has to say.
