chapter thirteen•cured at last
The three villains start to rise across from the three Spider-Men and I. I really feel like the odd one out. There are three Spider-Men, and there are three villains.
I am the girl who is in between the title of villian and hero. The misunderstood outcast. I am meant to be a villain, but here I am helping the heroes. What does that make me?
"Ok, Sandman's first," Peter 1 says.
Sandman is larger than before, and he is chasing Peter 2 throughout the scaffolding. "I'm gonna lead him inside the statue," Peter 2 announces.
Connors then goes after Peter 3. "I'll met you at the top," he replies over comms.
Peter 3 has lost Connors, and that's when I spot Sandman's cure. I drift over to grab it, but Connors leaps down to my level, pinning me down to the floor of the scaffolding. He stares at me with a menacing look.
"Hey again, Doctor Connors..."
"Hello, Synne."
Just then, Peter 1 starts to swing by, Electro not far behind.
"Peter!" I shout, throwing Sandman's cure to him.
"I got it!"
Just as Peter 1 says that, Electro sends a bolt of lighting toward him, which hits him hard, causing him to drop Sandman's cure onto the scaffolding below. I watch in anger, knowing that curing Sandman would be harder now.
Peter 2 is stuck at the top of the statue, drowing in sand. "Guys, I'm at the top! I need the cure!"
"I'm coming, I'm coming, I'm coming!" Peter 1 yells over comms.
I am still pinned beneath Connors, holding back his gaping jaws from biting my hand
"Just wait-" I say, headbutting Connors and then kicking him back.
"Your turn!"
As Connors starts to get up to attack me once again, Peter 3 swings in, webbing him to the scaffolding.
"He's trapped," I say with satisfaction.
"For now. I'll be right back," he taunts, looking at Connors.
The Lizard roars in anger, as Peter 3 runs off to go save Peter 2. It must have worked, because there is a blast of light at the top of the statue.
I am left to babysit Connors, who I want to be taken out already. He is hurting my Peter, and he was honestly getting on my nerves.
In the distance, I can see Electro attacking the Spider-Men. I have to go and help. I levitate over, flames already on my hands.
Peter 1 shoots a web at the powerful arc reactor that is on Electro, but he easily rips the web away with a laugh. He is too powerful to even be bothered by their attempts to stop him.
"That's not gonna work!"
Electro blasts a bolt of electricity at the four of us. The three Spider-Men jump, landing on a nearby scaffolding, but I just lift myself higher in the air, looking at Electro angrily.
A few moments later, the Spider-Men went at Electro, and Peter 1 attempted to cure him. Peter 1 is blasted back by electricity, and the other Peters are blasted away too.
I throw a fireball at him, but he sends tumbling back through the scaffoldings. I hiss in pain, but force myself to get up.
Elsewhere, Connors has broken free from the webs. He pauses, hearing Ned and MJ in the lab.
